RESOLUTION NO. 7289 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2019-20 <br /> CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM BUDGET AUTHORIZING A <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION FOR THE GOLD LINE STATION <br /> PEDESTRIAN LINKAGE PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $120,000, <br /> OFFSET BY A REDUCTION IN THE PROPOSITION A AND C <br /> RESERVE FUND <br /> WHEREAS, in 2009, during the planning stages of the Gold Line Light Rail <br /> Extension Project, the City applied for and received a Metro Grant to improve <br /> pedestrian facilities around the Gold Line Station; and <br /> WHEREAS, in October 2017, the City approved an agreement with RRM Design <br /> Group for design services for the Arcadia Gold Line Station Pedestrian Linkage <br /> Improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, on October 7, 2019, a Public Notice Inviting Bids was issued and <br /> four (4) contractors placed bids, with Three Peaks Corp. producing the lowest bid; and <br /> WHEREAS, although the low bid is within the current budget, the addition of a <br /> 10% contingency would put the total over the maximum budget; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager has certified that there are sufficient reserves <br /> available in the Proposition A and C Funds for appropriation. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, <br /> CALIFORNIA, DOES FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. The sum of One Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($120,000) <br /> is hereby appropriated in the Gold Line Station Pedestrian Linkage Improvement <br /> Project, offset with an equal reduction in the Proposition A and C Reserve Fund. <br /> SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. <br /> 1 <br />
