ORDINANCE NO. 2367 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, <br /> CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ARTICLE III OF THE ARCADIA MUNICIPAL <br /> CODE RELATING TO FIRE REGULATIONS AND ADOPTING BY <br /> REFERENCE THE 2019 EDITION OF THE CALIFORNIA FIRE CODE IN <br /> ITS ENTIRETY, INCLUDING CHAPTER 4 AND APPENDICES B, C, D, K, <br /> AND 0 BASED ON THE 2018 EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL FIRE <br /> CODE PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CODE COUNCIL; <br /> TOGETHER WITH CERTAIN ADDITIONS, INSERTIONS, DELETIONS <br /> AND CHANGES THERETO <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 50022.1 et seq. the City may <br /> adopt by reference the California Building Standards Code, 2019 Edition as provided in <br /> Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations, which includes the California Fire Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, the California Building Standards Commission ("Commission") <br /> recently adopted the 2019 Edition of the California Building Standards Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, California Health and Safety Code Sections 17958, 17958.5, 17958.7, <br /> and 18941.5 authorize cities to adopt the California Building Standards Code with <br /> modifications determined to be reasonably necessary because of local climatic, <br /> geological or topographical conditions; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Arcadia desires to adopt the 2019 Edition of the California <br /> Fire Code in its entirety, including Appendix Chapter 4 and Appendices B, C, D, K, and 0 <br /> based on the 2018 Edition of the International Fire Code published by the International <br /> Code Council, together with the necessary amendments to assure the Codes are tailored <br /> to the particular safety needs of the City as required by its unique climatic, geological and <br /> topographical conditions; and <br /> 1 <br />
