4. ROLL CALL OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> PRESENT: Amundson, Beck, Chandler, Verlato, and Tay <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> 5. REPORT FROM CITY ATTORNEY REGARDING CLOSED/STUDY SESSION ITEMS <br /> City Attorney Deitsch reported that prior to the regular meeting, the City Council met in a Closed <br /> Session to consider Items (a) and (b) on the posted agenda, and no reportable action was <br /> taken; he also reported that Item (c) has not yet been considered, and stated that after the <br /> regular meeting, the City Council will recess to a Closed Session to consider Item (c) on the <br /> posted agenda, and that no reportable action is anticipated. <br /> 6. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM CITY MANAGER REGARDING AGENDA <br /> ITEMS <br /> City Manager Lazzaretto stated that there was no supplemental information. <br /> 7. MOTION TO READ ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BY TITLE ONLY AND <br /> WAIVE THE READING IN FULL <br /> A motion was made by Council Member Chandler and seconded by Council Member Amundson <br /> to read all ordinances and resolutions by title only and waive the reading in full. <br /> 8. PRESENTATIONS <br /> a. Presentation of Mayor's Certificates of Commendation to the Arcadia High School <br /> Apaches Football Team in recognition of their outstanding season and first CIF finals <br /> appearance in 40 years. <br /> 9. PUBLIC HEARING <br /> a. Resolution No. 7239 establishing and/or adjusting various fees for City services; and <br /> finding that this Resolution is exempt from the requirements of the California <br /> Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA"). <br /> Recommended Action: Conduct the Public Hearing and Adopt <br /> City Manager Lazzaretto presented the staff report. <br /> Mayor Tay opened the Public Hearing. No one appeared. <br /> A motion to close the public hearing was made by Council Member Chandler, seconded by <br /> Council Member Amundson, and seeing no objection, Mayor Tay declared the public hearing <br /> closed. <br /> Mayor Pro Tern Verlato suggested the City Manager be given flexibility to waive fees for <br /> businesses depending on the type of business. <br /> Council Member Chandler made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 7239 as proposed by staff, <br /> which died for lack of a second. <br /> 2 12-18-2018 <br />
