Regular Meeting <br /> City Council Chamber, 7:00 p.m. <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER — Mayor Tay called the regular meeting to order at 7:06 p.m. <br /> 2. INVOCATION — Pastor George Hooper, Church of the Good Shepherd <br /> 3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE — Gene Glasco, Elected City Clerk <br /> 4. ROLL CALL OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> PRESENT: Amundson, Beck, Chandler, Verlato, and Tay <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> 5. REPORT FROM CITY ATTORNEY REGARDING CLOSED/STUDY SESSION ITEMS <br /> City Attorney Deitsch announced that the City Council met in a Study Session prior to the <br /> regular meeting, in order to receive a report, discuss and provide direction regarding the <br /> management, operation, and maintenance of the Arcadia Par 3 Golf Course; he stated that <br /> there were three (3) motions (1) on motion by Council Member Beck, second by Mayor Pro Tern <br /> Verlato, the City Council voted (4-1; Council Member Chandler voted no) to negotiate a final <br /> agreement with Touchstone Golf concerning the management, operation, and maintenance of <br /> the Arcadia Par 3 Golf Course; he noted that the agreement would be for a base fee payable to <br /> Touchstone Golf of $48,000 per year, 15% net income with the City receiving the remaining <br /> revenues , and 2.5% of gross revenues going into the Capital Improvement Fund of the City, the <br /> motion passed; (2) on motion by Council Member Amundson, second by Council Member <br /> Chandler, the City Council voted (3-2; Council Member Beck and Mayor Pro Tern Verlato voted <br /> no) to reconsider the prior motion, the motion passed; and (3) on motion by Council Member <br /> Chandler, second by Council Member Amundson (3-2; Council Member Beck and Mayor Pro <br /> Tem Verlato voted no) to table consideration of this item to the October 16, 2018, City Council <br /> meeting, the motion passed. <br /> 6. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM CITY MANAGER REGARDING AGENDA <br /> ITEMS <br /> City Manager Lazzaretto announced there was no supplemental information. <br /> 7. MOTION TO READ ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BY TITLE ONLY AND <br /> WAIVE THE READING IN FULL <br /> A motion was made by Council Member Chandler and seconded by Council Member Amundson <br /> to read all ordinances and resolutions by title only and waive the reading in full. <br /> 8. PRESENTATIONS <br /> a. Presentation of a monetary gift in the amount of $2,500 by the Friends of the <br /> Museum for a Touchscreen Device for the World War I Ross Field Balloon School <br /> Exhibit. <br /> b. Proclaiming October 7, 2018, to October 13, 2018, as "Fire Prevention Week". <br /> 2 10-02-2018 <br />
