ARCADIA CITY COUNCIL <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY, JUNE 20, 2017 <br /> CALL TO ORDER — Mayor Amundson called the regular meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. <br /> INVOCATION — Reverend Terry Keenan, The Santa Anita Church <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE — Lee Shimmin, Arcadia Resident and US Army Veteran <br /> ROLL CALL OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> PRESENT: Beck, Chandler, Verlato, Tay, and Amundson <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> REPORT FROM CITY ATTORNEY REGARDING CLOSED/STUDY SESSION ITEMS <br /> City Attorney Deitsch announced that the City Council met in a Special Meeting to consider four <br /> of the six litigation matters listed on the posted agenda under Closed Session; he indicated that <br /> one matter pertained to anticipated litigation regarding a claim for conducting council elections <br /> by districts rather than at-large, no reportable action was taken; he further announced that at the <br /> conclusion of the Regular Meeting, the City Council will adjourn back into Closed Session to <br /> consider the last two items, and that it is anticipated there will not be any action taken which is <br /> required to be reported under the Brown Act. <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM CITY MANAGER REGARDING AGENDA ITEMS <br /> City Manager Lazzaretto stated that relating to City Manager item 3.a regarding the Coyote <br /> Management Plan, the staff report has been revised to include an environmental analysis in the <br /> recommendation, also six emails were submitted and received by residents after the agenda <br /> was posted; and additional emails from residents were presented by Debbie Priester that were <br /> previously received by the City Council. <br /> MOTION TO READ ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BY TITLE ONLY AND WAIVE <br /> THE READING IN FULL <br /> A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Tay and seconded by Council Member Chandler to read <br /> all ordinances and resolutions by title only and waive the reading in full. <br /> PRESENTATIONS <br /> a. Presentation of Mayor's Certificate of Commendation to CHOICESS in <br /> appreciation for support of the City of Arcadia Summer Movie Series. <br /> b. Presentation by Jason Farned, San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control <br /> Public information Officer. <br /> c. Presentation by BikeSGV presenting framed 626 Golden Streets Event photo <br /> and final report to the City Council and staff. <br /> 1 06-20-2017 <br />
