REPORT FROM CITY ATTORNEY REGARDING CLOSED SESSION ITEMS <br /> In the absence of City Attorney Deitsch, City Manager Lazzaretto announced that the City <br /> Council met in a Closed Session to consider the two items listed on the posted agenda under <br /> Closed Session; he indicated that the first item was regarding Nevis Capital litigation, and the <br /> second item related to labor negotiations; and that no reportable action was taken. <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM CITY MANAGER REGARDING AGENDA ITEMS <br /> City Manager Lazzaretto advised that a correction regarding Consent Calendar item 1.a relating <br /> to the second reading and adoption of the Seabiscuit Pacifica Specific Plan ordinances was <br /> made and distributed to the City Council; he noted that the Condition of Approval regarding the <br /> protection of the trees was incorrectly listed in Ordinance No. 2344, which was approved by the <br /> City Council at the December 6, 2016, meeting. <br /> MOTION TO READ ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BY TITLE ONLY AND WAIVE <br /> THE READING IN FULL <br /> A motion was made by Council Member Tay, seconded by Council Member Chandler to read all <br /> ordinances and resolutions by title only and waive the reading in full. <br /> PRESENTATIONS <br /> a. Presentation of Mayor's Certificate of Commendation to Brian Mejia in <br /> appreciation of 20 years of outstanding service to Supervisor Antonovich's office. <br /> b. Presentation of Mayor's Certificate of Commendation to Arcadia High School <br /> students Michelle Deng and Lauren Ko for winning the CIF-SS Tennis Doubles <br /> Championship. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> Gary Yamada, Arcadia Performing Arts Foundation Board of Directors, appeared and provided <br /> information regarding the Arcadia Performing Arts Center and invited the community to attend <br /> concerts; he provided a list of upcoming performances in 2017; and thanked Mayor Beck, Mayor <br /> Pro Tern Amundson, Council Member Verlato, and City Manager Lazzaretto for their continued <br /> support of the Performing Arts Center. <br /> REPORTS FROM MAYOR, CITY COUNCIL AND CITY CLERK (including reports from the <br /> City Council related to meetings attended at City expense(AB 1234]) <br /> Mayor Pro Tem Amundson announced that he attended the City's Holiday Party, and thanked all <br /> the staff who worked on the event; he commented on the number of accidents and fatalities in <br /> the last few weeks and encouraged everyone to slow down, be careful and take time and enjoy <br /> the holiday season; he talked about the Police Foundation and encouraged residents to donate <br /> to the Police Foundation Canine program; and wished everyone Happy Holidays. <br /> Council Member Chandler announced that he attended the Police Department's Annual <br /> Breakfast, and the City's Holiday Party; he commented on the Police Department's Canine <br /> Program; he spoke about the "see something, say something" program especially during the <br /> 2 12-20-2016 <br />
