REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> 7:00 p.m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER— Mayor Beck called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> INVOCATION - Reverend Jolene Cadenbach, Arcadia Congressional Church <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE— Girl Scout Troop 361 <br /> ROLL CALL OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> PRESENT: Council Member Chandler, Tay, Verlato, Amundson, and Beck <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> REPORT FROM CITY ATTORNEY REGARDING STUDY/ CLOSED SESSION ITEM <br /> City Attorney Deitsch reported that the City Council met in a Closed Session to consider the one <br /> item listed on the posted agenda under Closed Session; no reportable action was taken. <br /> City Attorney Deitsch also reported that the City Council met in a Study Session to receive a <br /> report from staff regarding the replacement of the Civic Center Soccer Field; and on motion by <br /> Council Member Chandler, seconded by Mayor Beck (with Mayor Pro Tern Amundson voting <br /> no) to approve Option 2, to replace the Civic Center Soccer Field with the Revolution 360 Field <br /> in the amount of $165,000, with the addition of CoolPlay infill, and no logo; and on motion by <br /> Council Member Chandler, seconded by Mayor Beck, the Council voted unanimously to <br /> approve goal anchors in the amount of$8,000 for the Civic Center Soccer Field. <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM CITY MANAGER REGARDING AGENDA ITEMS <br /> City Manager Lazzaretto indicated that two Council Members had clarifications to the July 5, <br /> 2016, City Council minutes which were corrected, and additional responses to comments on the <br /> initial study and proposed mitigated negative declaration on the Arroyo Pacific Academy, Public <br /> Hearing item 2.a., were also distributed to the City Council in advance of the meeting. <br /> MOTION TO READ ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BY TITLE ONLY AND WAIVE <br /> THE READING IN FULL <br /> A motion was made by Council Member Tay, seconded by Council Member Chandler, to read all <br /> ordinances and resolutions by title only and waive the reading in full. <br /> 1. APPOINTMENTS <br /> a. Appointments to the Youth Advisory Council. <br /> Recommended Action: Make Appointments <br /> It was moved to Council Member Chandler, seconded by Council Member Tay, to temporarily <br /> suspend the maximum number of members on the Youth Advisory Council from seven to eight <br /> until the number of members returns to 7; and appoint Natalie Chen, Sean Lee, Ben Lui, Jillian <br /> Moore, and Daisy Lau as the high school representatives to the Youth Advisory Council to serve <br /> until June 30, 2018.
