ARCADIA CITY COUNCIL <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> rem TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2015 <br /> CALL TO ORDER— Mayor Kovacic called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> PRESENT: Council Member Beck, Chandler, Tay, and Kovacic <br /> ABSENT: Council Member Wuo <br /> A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tern Chandler, seconded by Council Member Tay to excuse <br /> Council Member Wuo from this meeting. <br /> At 5:03 p.m. Mayor Kovacic announced that the City Council will move to Study Session item (a) <br /> to tour the Police Department's Mobile Command Post in the City Hall Parking lot. <br /> Mayor Kovacic called for public comments. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> April Verlato, an Arcadia resident, appeared and shared her frustration about Council Member <br /> Tay's inappropriate comments about her at a recent meeting that he organized which appeared <br /> to be City related; and urged the City Council to speak to Council Member Tay about his action, <br /> including comments about the Save the Arcadia Highlands litigation. <br /> The City Council recessed at 5:10 p.m. to the City Hall Parking lot to tour the Police <br /> Department's Mobile Command Post; and reconvened to Closed Session at 5:30 p.m. <br /> CLOSED SESSION <br /> a. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(4) to confer with legal counsel <br /> regarding anticipated litigation —one (1) case. <br /> b. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(1) to confer with legal counsel <br /> regarding the matter of Save the Arcadia Highlands v. City of Arcadia, City Council of <br /> the City of Arcadia, and Does 1 through 10; and Robert Tong, Bowden Development, <br /> Inc., 29 East Orange Grove Avenue, LLC, and Does 11 through 25; Los Angeles <br /> Superior Court (Central District — Stanley Mosk Courthouse); Court Case No. <br /> BS 154327. <br /> No reportable actions were taken on either item. <br /> STUDY SESSION <br /> a.
