Kenneth Hansen, Lutheran Church of the Cross <br /> <br />Mayor James R. Helms, Jr. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Arth, Butterworth, Considine, Rage, Helms <br />None <br /> <br />Time and place scheduled to hear any objections to the proposed <br />removal of weeds, rubbish, etc., from all properties so designated in <br />a Declaration List submitted by the County Forester and Fire Warden, <br />Weed Abatement Department. The City Clerk explained that all <br />communications received to date concerning weed removal had been <br />directed to the proper department. Mayor Helms declared the hearing <br />open and the following persons spoke to the matter. <br /> <br />Arthur LaBelle ,Foothill Boulevard <br />Richard Verkouteren, 881 W. Foothill Boulevard <br />Frank Marchese, 343 W. Colorado Boulevard <br />T. W. Tobin, 1144 W. Duarte Road <br /> <br />After speaking to their particular concern each property owner met <br />with the County representative who was present and recorded each <br />protest or problem and will endeavor to resolve same. The results <br />of his findings will be submitted to Council. Councilman <br />Butterworth MOVED to close the hearing. Councilman Hage seconded <br />the motion which was carried unanimously. Councilman Butterworth <br />further MOVED that the City Council declares that all property <br />owners have been duly notified of this public hearing which has <br />been held for the purpose of hearing objections to the proposed <br />abatement program; that said objections have been received and <br />recorded; that the County Forester and Fire Warden is hereby directed <br />to proceed with the removal of weeds, rubbish, etc., from all prop- <br />erties so designated in the Declaration List dated February 9, 1972. <br />Councilman Considine seconded the motion which was carried unani- <br />mously <br /> <br />Time and place scheduled for consideration of the establishment of <br />an underground utility district in the area bounded by Huntington <br />Drive, First Avenue, Wheeler Avenue and the southbound roadway of <br />Santa Anita Avenue. Mayor Helms declared the hearing open and no <br />one desiring to speak to the matter the hearing was CLOSED on <br />MOTION by Councilman Arth, seconded by Councilman Hage and carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />The City Attorney then presented, explained the content and read <br />the title of RESOLUTION NO. 4247, entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ESTABLISHING UNDERGROUND <br />UTILITY DISTRICT NO.5. <br /> <br />3-7-72 <br /> <br />- 1 - <br />
