METROPOLITAN <br />WATER <br />DISTRICT <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 4214 <br />ADOPTED <br /> <br />fr fS~ <br />" '-' <br />" ' <br /> <br />TAX RATE <br /> <br />ORDINANCE <br />NO. 1436 <br /> <br />f-;rfo1~ <br /> <br />IRDINANCE <br />O. 1437 <br /> <br />County Park <br />Regulations ~ <br /> <br />INTRODUCED <br /> <br />19:7892 <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA <br /> <br />ADJOURNED,REGULAR'MEETING <br /> <br />AUGUST 24, 1971 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Arcadia met in adjourned regular session <br />in the City Hall Conference Room at 7:30 p.m., on August 24, 1971. <br /> <br />PRESENT : <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Arth, Butterworth, Considine, Hage <br />Mayor 'Helms <br /> <br />Staff submitted a summation of Metropolitan Water District taxes to be <br />levied upon taxable property within the City and noted that the amount <br />of $127,279.09 is due the District on or before December 10, 1971 and <br />$84,852.73 on or before May 10, 1972. Whereupon the City Attorney <br />presented, explained the content and read the title of RESOLUTION <br />No. 4214, entitled:, "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ARCADIA ELECTING TO PAY 50% OF THE 1971-1972 TAXES LEVIED UPON PROPERTY <br />WITHIN THE CITY BY THE METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT OF SOUTHERN <br />CALIFORNIA. " <br /> <br />It was MOVED by Councilman Arth, seconded by Councilman Butterworth that <br />the full reading of Resolution No. 4214 be waived and that same be <br />ADOPTED on roll call vote as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Arth, <br />None <br />Mayor Helms <br /> <br />Butterworth, Considine, Hage <br /> <br />Staff submitted assessed valuation figures as certified to by the County <br />Auditor-Controller for the current fiscal year, 1971-72. This being the <br />time set aside for the adoption of the City tax rate for said period, the <br />City Attorney presented, explained the content and read the title of <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1436, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF ARCADIA FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES AND LEVYING TAXES FOR THE <br />FISCAL YEAR 1971-1972." <br /> <br />It was MOVED by Councilman Considine, seconded Arth that the full reading <br />of Ordinance be waived and that same be ADOPTED on roll call vote as <br />fo llows: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Arth, Butterworth Considine, Rage <br />None <br />Mayor Helms <br /> <br />Extensive discussion held on the contents of an ordinance recommended <br />for adoption which would,by reference)adopt Los Angeles County Ordinance <br />No. 10,309 Articles I, II and III relating to police,regulations <br />applicable to the Arcadia County Park. The proposed ordinance would <br />also amend and add sections to the Arcadia Municipal Code relating to <br />the use of a public address system at said park. <br /> <br />The City Attorney then presented and read the title of Ordinance No. 1437, <br />entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA <br />AMENDING SECTION 4510 OF THE ARCADIA MUNICIPAL CODE AND ADDING SECTION <br />4510.1 THERETO, RELATING TO REGULATIONS OF THE COUNTY PARK." <br /> <br />8-24-71 <br /> <br />- 1 - <br />
