<br />t, ~" <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 4188 <br />AMENDING PORTIONS <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 4185 <br />1 ("'-:: ': <br />J-"': ~ <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />/'1 : 7 71:JS-1+- <br /> <br />M :1 ,N UTE S <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />,FEBRUARY 23, 1971 <br /> <br />The City Council met in a Special Session called in full compliance <br />with the provisions of Section 408 of the City Charter on February 23, <br />1971 at 8:30 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Arcadia City Hall. <br /> <br />PURPOSE: To consider amending Resolution No. 4185 establishing <br />regulations for certain property at the northeast corner of Huntington <br />Drive and Baldwin Avenue upon its reclassification to the C-2, D and <br />H zones. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br />OTHERS: <br /> <br />Councilmen Arth, Considine, Hage, Helms, Butterworth <br />None <br />City Manager, City Attorney, Director of Public Works, <br />Representatives of Santa Anita Consolidated, Inc., and Press. <br /> <br />At issue were 1) issuance of occupancy permits for the department stores, <br />and 2) the length of time the developer would be responsible for traffic <br />problems. The City Attorney had prepared Resolution No. 4188 for <br />Council consideration. <br /> <br />Following detailed review of Condition 6 it was MOVED by Councilman <br />Considine, seconded by Councilman Hage and carried on roll call that <br />said condition as presented be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"No certificate of occupancy for the first department store shall be <br />issued until such time as the City is. furnished evidence reasonably <br />satisfactory to the City assuring the completion of the second <br />department store within six (6) months of the occupancy of the first, <br />and until the mall building shell, the enclosed mall, parking lot and <br />landscaping are completed; 'and no certificate of occupancy shall be <br />issued for any mall store until the City is furnished evidence <br />reasonably satisfactory to the City in the nature of a construction <br />contract assuring the completion of a third department store within <br />twenty-four (24) months." <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Arth, Considine, Rage, Helms, Butterworth <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Following detailed review of Condition 8 it was MOVED by Councilman <br />Considine, seconded by Councilman Hage and carried on roll call that <br />Condition 8 as presented be ACCEPTED. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Arth, Considine, Hage, Helms, Butterworth <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Condition 8a - accepted as written. <br /> <br />Condition 8b - Add "including race track traffic which is c;used to be <br />rerouted by the construction of the project" to the end of the last <br />sentence. <br /> <br />Conditions 8c through 8 f - accepted as written. <br /> <br />2-23-71 <br /> <br />- 1 - <br />
