Butterworth <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Arth, Considine, Hage, Helms, Butterworth <br />None <br /> <br />HEARING Proposed vacation of a portion of Live Oak and Hempstead Avenues (portion <br />(Street of the public right-of-way at the southwest corner of said streets). It <br />Vacation) -&? was noted that this is desirable to permit the owner of a restaurant at <br />P' i? I \. 516 E. Live Oak Avenue to locate a sign outside the public right-of-way <br />. "in such a manner that the sign will be visible to east-bound traffic on <br />JL '1J~~~i[.Live Oak Avenue; that there is no need f6r this right-of-way in the ' <br />~, . foreseeable future. It was MOVED by Councilman Considine, seconded by <br />Councilman Hage and carried unanimously that same be APPROVED. Whereupon <br />the City Attorney presented, explained the content and read the title of <br />Resolution No. 4184, entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF ARCADIA ORDERING THE VACATION OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF LIVE OAK <br />AVENUE AND HEMPSTEAD AVENUE AT THE SOUTHWEST INTERSECTION OF SAID STREETS." <br />, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 4184 <br />ADOPTED <br />~ <br /> <br />,HEARING <br />(C.U.P. ) <br />CONTINUED <br /> <br />pe-UP <br /> <br /> <br />10NDITIONAL <br />SE PERMIT <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />p: ~ {( p <br /> <br />HEARING <br />SCHEDULED <br /> <br />It' was MOVED by Councilman Hage, seconded by Councilman Arth and carried <br />on roll call vote as follows that the reading of the full body of <br />Resolution No. 4184 be waiVEd: and that same be and it is hereby ADOPTED. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Arth, Considine, Hage, Helms, Butterworth <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Conditional Use Permit providing for the continuance of a riding academy <br />and residence at 11721 E, Clark Street (Planning Commission Resolution <br />No. 717). Continued to the next regular City Council meeting. Soil tests <br />currently underway on this and adjacent property may be completed by that <br />time. t <br /> <br />The Planning Commission granted a conditional use permit to the Church of <br />the Transfiguration for a nursery school and minor church alterations at <br />1881 S. First Avenue subject to conditions specified in its Resolution <br />No, 721. On MOTION by Councilman Considine, seconded by Councilman Hage <br />and carried unanimously said action was RATIFIED. Councilman Helms <br />abstained from voting on this matter as he is a member thereof. <br /> <br />February 16, 1971 was scheduled for a public hearing on the recommendation <br />of the Planning Commission concerning the increase in the width of parking <br />stalls in all zones except C-M, M and residential.
