<br /> <br />APPRAISAL <br />AUTHORIZED <br /> <br />SAN GABRIEL <br />V ALLEY SYMPHONY <br /> <br /> <br />, COUNCIL PACKET <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />20:8574B <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA <br /> <br />JUNE 13, 1974 <br /> <br />BUDGET SESSION <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Arcadia, California, <br />"met in the Conference Room in the City Hall on Thursday <br />June 13, 1974 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />~ PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Council Members Gilb, Lauber, Saelid, Scott <br />Councilman Helms <br /> <br />The City Manager explained the purpose for the request for <br />authority to retain an appraiser for properties known as <br />Beckstrom property, northeast corner Santa Anita & Santa <br />Clara; L.A.P. Property, 130-140 E. Santa Clara; L.W.J. <br />Property, 211 E. Huntington Drive; and the Hygiene Products <br />Property, 215 E. Huntington Drive. He indicated that the <br />old buildings should be removed and it would be helpful if <br />a price could be established by an appraiser as there is <br />interest in the purchase of the property. <br /> <br />It was noted by Councilman Saelid that the Land Committee <br />is in favor of going ahead with an appraisal, however, he <br />indicated his willingness to go ahead if Council would not <br />in any way be making a commitment for any development of <br />CRA; that in his opinion the City has gone too far with <br />CRA already. <br /> <br />Whereupon Councilman Saelid MOVED, seconded by Councilman <br />Gilb and carried on roll call vote as follows that the <br />appraisal of said properties be APPROVED in an amount not <br />to exceed $2000 to be appropriated from the Council Contingency <br />Account. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Council Members Gilb, Lauber, Saelid, Scott <br />None <br />Councilman Helms <br /> <br />It was MOVED by Councilman Gilb, seconded by Councilwoman <br />Lauber and carried on roll call vote as follows that the <br />amount already reflected in the proposed budget ($500) be <br />approved. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Council Members Gilb, Lauber, Saelid, Scott <br />None <br />Councilman Helms <br /> <br />Discussion ensued on the proper place for a copy of the Council <br />packet - Library, City Clerk and the like. <br /> <br />At 8:50 p.m., the meeting adjourned to JUNE 18, 1974 at 7 p.m. <br />in the Conference Room. <br /> <br /> <br />6-13-74 <br />
