James W. Hagelganz, Arcadia Presbyterian Church <br /> <br />Councilman Edward L. Butterworth <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Butterworth, Rage, Helms, Scott, Arth <br />None <br /> <br />On MOTION by Councilman Helms, seconded by Councilman Hage and carried <br />unanimously the minutes of the regular meeting of April 2 were APPROVED <br />with a change on Page 3 in the first line of the last paragraph - strike <br />the words "agreed andll. <br /> <br />Application of the West Arcadia Business and Professional Association <br />for a Council Permit to hold a sidewalk sale in West Arcadia on April 20. <br />Mayor Arth declared the hearing open and John McCarthy, Vice President <br />of said Association, stated he was unaware that this event would require <br />A · ()[) a public hearing and that the association desired to do what it should <br />o P ~ \jand hoped the permit would be issued. No one else desiring to be <br />eI. (l..A,v ",l \-heard the hearing was CLOSED on MOTION by Councilman Butterworth, <br />S \ - .,).....; seconded by Councilman Scott and carried unanimously. Motion <br />k o. vJ~ Xd seconded by Councilman Hage and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PROCEDURAL <br />ORDINANCE <br />WAIVED <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 4419 <br />ADOPTED <br /> <br />0" ~ <br />\,A'l. <br />(1 , ) I <br />L.../ J ' <br /> <br />In order to consider the following items the provisions of the Procedural <br />Ordinance were waived on MOTION by Councilman Helms, seconded by <br />Councilman Scott and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilman Helms presented and explained the content of Resolution <br />No. 4419, entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING CERTAIN CITIZENS OF ARCADIA AS <br />AMBASSADORS OF GOOD WILL ON THE OCCASION OF ARCADIA'S GOOD WILL VISIT <br />TO SPAIN AND PORTUGAL." (The word Europe to be changed to Portugal.) <br /> <br />It was MOVED by Councilman Helms, seconded by Councilman Scott and <br />carried on roll call vote as follows that the readiq>; of the full body <br />of the resolution be WAIVED and that the same be ADOPTED. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Butterworth, Hage, Helms, Scott, Arth <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />RESOLUTION Councilman Helms also presented, explained the content of Resolution <br />NO. 4418 No. 4418, entit led: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ADOPT~ED, ~G ARCADIA APPOINTING C.
