Robert Arth <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Hage, Butterworth, Helms, Arth <br />Councilman Scott <br /> <br />On MOTION by Councilman Hage, seconded by Councilman Helms and carried <br />unanimously the minutes of the regular meeting of August 7, 1973 were <br />APPROVED. <br /> <br />Councilman Scott was excused from this meeting on MOTION by Councilman <br />Helms, seconded by Councilman Hage and carried unanimously, <br /> <br />Mayor Arth announced that this is the time and place for hearing of <br />protests, ordering any changes or modifications, and confirming <br />assessments on the Arcadia Industrial Park Assessment District No. 72-1. <br />Council received the report of the Engineer for the District who advised <br />that seven (7) bids had been received which are substantially lower than <br />the estimate; they have been tsken under advisement as the contract <br />award is not made at this time. One of the bids was in error and is to <br />be rejected, Plans and specifications have been filed with the City <br />Clerk along with a modified cost estimate reflecting the successful bid. <br />All provisions of the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 have been com- <br />p lied with, <br /> <br />Mayor Arth declared the hearing open and no one desiring to be heard the <br />hearing was closed on MOTION by Councilman Butterworth, seconded by <br />Councilman Hage and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The City Attorney presented, explained the content and read the title of <br />Resolution No, 4356, entit led: "RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING CERTAIN CHANGES AND MODIFICATIONS <br />IN THE ASSESSMENT, THE PROCEEDINGS, AND "REPORT" IN THE MATTER OF THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS TOGETHER WITH APPURTENANCES IN <br />ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 72-1 (ARCADIA INDUSTRIAL PARK)." <br /> <br />It was MOVED by Councilman Hage, seconded by Councilman Helms and <br />carried on roll call vote as follows that the reading of the full body <br />of the resolution be WAIVED and that the same be ADOPIED. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Rage, Butterworth, Helms, Arth <br />None <br />Councilman Scott <br /> <br />The City Attorney then presented, explained the content and read the <br />title of Resolution No. 4357, entitled: "RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />8-21-73 <br /> <br />- 1 - <br />
