Margaret Stevens, Santa Anita Church <br /> <br />Mayor C. Robert Arth <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Scott, Hage, Butterworth, Helms, Arth <br />None <br /> <br />On MOTION by Councilman Scott, seconded by Councilman Hage and carried <br />unanimously the Minutes of the regular meeting of July 17 and the <br />adjourned regular meeting of July 24 were APPROVED. Councilmen <br />Butterworth and Helms abstained from voting on the July 17 meeting as <br />they were absent. Councilman Butterworth abstained from voting on the <br />July 24 meeting as he was absent. <br /> <br />Councilman Butterworth was presented with a.Resolution of Appreciation <br />on behalf of his interest, efforts and accomplishments in the Sister <br />City Program. Mrs. Myree Gudus, Chairman of the Sister City Commission <br />made this presentation. <br /> <br />Time and place for receiving the report concerning weed abatement charges <br />for the 1972-73 period. The report indicated the cost of abating noxious <br />weeds on separate parcels of land. Mayor Arth declared the hearing open <br />L2and no one desiring to be heard the hearing was CLOSED on MOTION by <br />l/ Councilman Scott, seconded by Councilman Hage and carried unanimously. <br />It was MOVED by Councilman Helms, seconded by Councilman Scott and <br />carried unanimously that the report be and it is hereby CONFIRMED and the <br />County Auditor was ordered and instructed to enter the amounts of the <br />assessments against the respective parcels of land as they appear on the <br />current assessment roll. <br /> <br />HEARING The Planning Commission at its meeting of July 10, by a vote of 4-2 with <br />(Lot Spllt) one absent, approved a division of property at 723-727 East Norman Avenue <br />subject to conditions outlined in a staff report with an additional <br />1 . condition concerning underground utilities. This decision was appealed <br />and this hearing was scheduled. <br /> <br />V' ~[)1\1'';:' The Planning Director explained and exhibited projecturals depicting <br />~\?L the area and stated in response to questions that the lots are noncon- <br />forming as they presently exist regardless of the lot split. <br /> <br />Mayor Arth declared the hearing open and the applicant Donald E. Fickas <br />727 E. Norman Avenue, submitted additional names for a petition which <br />had previously been submitted to the Commission. <br /> <br />He stated in part that they were very pleased with their home and had <br />originally intended to utilize the rear portion, however, circumstances <br /> <br />8-7 - 7 3 <br /> <br />- 1 - <br />
