The event was acceptable <br />to the City Council however the amount of insurance coverage <br />was deemed not to be adequate and increased amounts were <br />decided upon. It was MOVED by Member Lauber, seconded by <br />'Member Margett and carried unanimously that permission be <br />granted providing insurance be carried in the amount of <br />$1,000,000 for public liability and property damage plus <br />$250,000 per passenger. <br /> <br />Request of Mr. and Mrs. Raymon C. Riordan, 647 Gloria Road, <br />for permission to cross the Baldwin Reservoir site for construction <br />access to the rear of their property where they are going to build <br />a tennis court. It would be for a period of approximately three <br />months (until May 21).... it would allow graders, concrete trucks <br />and miscellaneous equipment to enter the Riordan prope~ty from <br />the rear. Permission is also requested for the temporary removal <br />and reconstruction of about twenty-two feet of an existing 7 foot <br />high concrete block wall on the south side of City property <br />which borders the rear of the subject lot. <br /> <br />It was MOVED by Member Gilb, seconded by Member Margett and <br />carried unanimously that permission be granted for both the access <br />and the temporary removal and reconstruction of a portion of the <br />existing wall; that the Water Manager be and he is hereby <br />authorized to execute the Permit and Agreement to use City <br />Property as prepared by the City Attorney. It was noted that a <br />cash bond of $750 has been furnished by the property owners to <br />insure the reconstruction of the block wall or any other obligations <br />under the agreement. <br /> <br />Some discussion held on items which will be considered at the <br />regular meeting of this date, including the new Engineering/ <br />Science building; a release to be prepared on water rates as <br />submitted in a report by the Water Manager; staff will investigate <br />a so-called mini-mall business on Santa Anita north of Las <br />Tunas. .Member Lauber commended the Director of Public Works <br />on his communication to Walt Muller.
