<br />1-- <br /> <br />POLICE <br />FUNCTIONS <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />22:9217 <br /> <br />M I NUT E S <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA <br /> <br />ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />APRIL 21, 1977 <br /> <br />The City Council met in an adjourned session in the Conference Room <br />on April 21, 1977 at 5 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Council Members Gilb, Lauber, Margett, Parry, Saelid <br />None <br /> <br />Police Chief Mitchell and City Clerk Van Maanen were also in attendance. <br /> <br />Charles Mitchell, Chief of Police, responded at length to questions <br /> <br />propounded by Mayor Saelid and the individual Council Members, <br /> <br />concerning various police matters including the increased demand <br /> <br />on police officers due to burglaries, vandalism and the like <br /> <br />throughout the community. Chief Mitchell submitted statistics and <br /> <br />programs which are proposed for the department during the ensuing <br /> <br />year. Also the most expedient manner in which to handle the <br /> <br />traffic during the race seasons. <br /> <br />At 7 p.m. Council adjourned to May 3, 1977 at 7 p.m. in the <br /> <br />Conference Room. <br /> <br /> <br />Christine Van Maanen <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />4-21-77 <br />
