Nick Warner, Arcadia Presbyterian Church <br /> <br />Chester Howard, ',Director, of' Pub lic- Works <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Council Members Gilb, Margett, Parry, Saelid, Lauber <br />None <br /> <br />On MOTION by Councilman Margett, seconded by Councilman Gilb,and <br />carried unanimously the minutes of the regular meeting of March 1 and <br />15 and the adjourned regular meeting of March 9 were APPROVED. On <br />MOTION by Co~ncilman Margett, seconded by Councilman Saelid and carried <br />unanimously the minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of March 21 <br />were APPROVED. Mayor Lauber abstained as she was absent from this <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Mrs. Barbara Regan, Historian, Bicentennial Commission, presented to <br />the City Council an album containing memorabilia of all events during <br />the Bicentennial Year (1976). This will be in the City Library. Mayor <br />Lauber accepted the album with deep appreciation for the time and <br />effort put into compiling this historical record and presented Mrs, <br />Regan with a Certificate of Condemnation on behalf of the City Council. <br /> <br />On behalf of the City Council Mayor Lauber presented Paul Gayno.r <br />(age 18) with a Certificate of Commendation for his successful efforts <br />in saving the life of Mrs. Fred White when food became lodged in her <br />throat. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission granted a conditional use permit to Carl's Jr., <br />for the addition of a drive-thru window to its existing eating <br />establishment at 165 E. Duarte Road (Resolution No. 981). Conditions <br />of approval were set forth in the resolution. It was MOVED by Councilman <br />Saelid, seconded by Councilman Parry and carried on roll call vote as <br />follows that the conditional use permit be approved subject to all <br />specified conditions. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Council Members Gilb, Margett, Parry, Saelid, Lauber <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Planning Commission Resolution No. 982 recommending certain amendments <br />to the Open 'Space and Conservation Element, Public Safety Element, <br />Land Use Designations on the General Plan map and Implementation Section <br />of the General Plan relating to Hillside Development. Council <br />scheduled a public hearing for APRIL 19. <br /> <br />On recommendation of staff it was MOVED by Councilman Gilb, seconded <br />by Councilman Parry and carried unanimously that the final map of <br />Tract No. 32076 (condominium at 630-60 Naomi Avenue) be APPROVED. <br />, 4-5-77 <br /> <br />- 1 - <br />
