Sharing) <br />Fund Transfer <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />;,,~ <br />1 " <br />I:; v " <br />~'. <br /> <br />23:9601 <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />AUGUST 1, 1978 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Arcadia, California, met in regular <br />session on Tuesday, August 1, 1978 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council <br />Chamber of the Arcadia City Hall. <br /> <br />Dr. Margaret Stevens, Santa Anita Church <br /> <br />Finance Director Charles Reiman <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Gilb, Pellegrino, Parry <br />Councilmen Hargett, Saelid <br /> <br />On MOTION by Councilman Gilb, "seconded by Counci~man Pellegrino and <br />carried unanimously Councilmen Hargett and Saelid were excused. <br /> <br />On MOTION by Councilman Gilb, seconded by Councilman Pellegrino and <br />carried unanimously the Minutes of the Adjourned and Regular meetings <br />of July 18, 1978 were APPROVED. <br /> <br />Pursuant to a requirement by the Urban Mass Transportation Adminis- <br />tration of the Federal Department of Transportation this public <br />hearing was 8cheduled'in order to receive testimony concerning the <br />City's proposal to request UMtA Grant Funds for the Dial-A-Ride <br />Program for the fiscal years 1975-76 and 1977-78: The hearing must <br />be held prior to submitting the application. The"appropriate legal <br />notice was presented'to the City Council. It was noted that no action <br />is required at this time other than to take testimony from the public. <br /> <br />Mayor Parry declared the hearing open and no one desiring to speak in <br />favor or against the request for Grant Funds for the Dial-A-Ride <br />Program the hearing was closed on MOTION by Councilman Gilb, seconded <br />by Councilman Pellegrino and carried unanimously.' The application <br />will now be completed and submitted to Urban Mass Transportation <br />Administration (Federal Department of Transportation). <br /> <br />The Dial-A-Ride budget prepared by the consultants, Wilbur Smith & <br />Associates for the fiscal year 1977-78 lists the local share from <br />General Funds in the amount of $26,100 plus $3,000 from Federal <br />Revenue Sharing - a total of $29,100 requested for reimbursement from <br />the Urban Mass Transportation Administration. Th~s hearing is a <br />requirement of the Federal Revenue Sharing ProglF~~ so that the program <br />may be modified to reflect the expenditure from the General Fund. It <br />was noted in the staff report dated July 27 that the total expenditures <br />for the past year were made from General Revenue Sharing Funds "in the <br />amount of $54,657.04 net cost. <br /> <br />Hayor Parry declared the hearing open and no one desiring to be <br />heard the hearing was CLOSED on MOTION by Councilman Gilb, seconded <br />by Councilman Pellegrino and carried unanimously."
