Trigonis <br />who has been appointed to the Sister City Commission for a four year <br />term. Councilman Gilb explained the part Mr, Trigonis has played with <br />Arcadia's Sister City, Tripolis, Greece. <br /> <br />Appeal filed from the decision of the Planning Commission for denial of <br />an application to create two lots from one lot at 504-506 LeRoy Avenue. <br />The Planning Director explained that the majority Commissioners who voted <br />for denial felt the approval of a 44 foot wide lot in lieu of 75 feet <br />could set a precedent for other such lot splits and that there had not <br />been an economic hardship established. The two dissenting Commissioners <br />who were in favor of the lot split felt the property has existed with two <br />houses on the lot for many years and that the lot split would not change <br />the physical appearance of the neighborhood. <br /> <br />Mayor Pellegrino declared the hearing open and Jim Coughlin, attorney for <br />the applicants, submitted in part that the property has existed in its <br />present status for over 23 years. He noted the other lots in the immedi- <br />ate neighborhood which have been split and are 40 ft. wide and 46.35 feet <br />wide. The configuration, nor the atmosphere of the area, will not be <br />changed. He continued in part that they are agreeable to all of the con- <br />ditions which the Planning Commission has imposed if the lot split is <br />approved - that is, to add a carport to Lot 2 as well as to put in a sewer <br />lateral. He also explained the reasons for litigation which is now in <br />progress which cannot be consummated until a legal lot split is obtained. <br /> <br />Leslie Bloom, 21 E.
