March 4, '1980 at 5 p.m. Dedication of the <br />Fairview Park and'at 6:.p.m. ,with ,the Methodist:Hospita1 <br />Administrators. <br /> <br />Communication from the Los 'Angeles County Flood Control <br />District asking for an extension on its'hauling operation <br />permit to the end of this month. :This is due to ,the severe <br />storms which'has increased accumulation in the debris basins. <br />During this consideration ,the provisions of Ordinance:No. 1377 <br />were discussed. This ordinance concerns the,use of restricted <br />'streets and ,requires ,the payment of a fee',when a vehicle, <br />with 3 tons gross weight uses a restricted street, in payment <br />for damages which will, be caused ,:by, the vehicle operating on <br />a street. It was MOVED by Counci1mancGi1b, seconded,by <br />Counci1man,Pe11egrino and carried con roll ,call vote as follows <br />,th'1-t the extens ion be granted ',and Lthat ,the 'District "be require'd <br />to ,comply with~Ordinance,No. 1377. <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />Councilmen Gilb, 'Parry, Pellegrino, Sae1id, <br />and'Mayor;Margett <br />NONE <br />NONE <br /> <br />:NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />'Staff advised that Los Angeles County'has received grant funds <br />from the State ,for implementation of,a Coordinated Paramedic <br />,Communications 'System 'intended' to 'improve "communications between <br />fie1d'paramedics and base:station'physicians. Some of.the funds <br />will be used for "the :rep1acement ,of :radios being used ,in the <br />field. A new'paramedic radio was ,recently purchased and the <br />City may be eligible for a partia1:reimbursement of up to'$2,000. <br />'However, a claim must be submitted,and;it was MOVED by Council- <br />man Gi1b, seconded by Counci1man,Pel1egiino and carried ,on roll <br />call vote as follows :that an Agreement therefor be APPROVED and <br />that the Mayor and City C1erk'be AUTHORIZED to execute the <br />original Agreement and Modification.No. 1 <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />Councilmen Gilb, Parry, Pellegrino, 'Bae1id, and <br />'Mayor Margett. <br />NONE <br />,NONE <br /> <br />'NOES: <br />'ABSENT: <br /> <br />Request of the Arcadia 'Chapter of the 'American Red ,Cross, for <br />permission to use the Water Department billing list incits <br />forthcoming building campaign.
