<br />CITY COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS ARE TAPE RECORDED AND ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK <br />25 :0344 <br /> <br />I ROll CAll <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA <br /> <br />ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />AUGUST 11, 1981 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Arcadia met in an adjourned regular <br />session August 11, 1981 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Conference <br />Room. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Councilmen Dring, Haltom, Pellegrino, Saelid, Gi1b <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Council received a summary listing the acquisition and construction <br />costs of the improvement to Second Avenue, Santa Clara Street and <br />Third Avenue as prepared by the Finance Director. <br /> <br />Council received the final costs for the Special Municipal Election <br />held June 16 in the amount of $20,722.54. It was MOVED by Councilman <br />Dring, seconded by Councilman Pellegrino and carried on roll call vote <br />as follows that same be approved for payment and that the Finance Di- <br />rector bill the Arcadia Unified School District for one half per agree- <br />ment. <br /> <br />AYES <br />NOES : <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Dring, Haltom, Pellegrino, Saelid, Gilb <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />The Director of Public Works submitted information relating to the <br />following items as contained in his report dated August 7, 1981: <br /> <br />Material from the Los Angeles County Sanitation <br />District relative to existing charges and proposed <br />connection fees which will be applied to all new <br />users of District facilities; <br /> <br />Prior Engineering Division report concerning correction <br />of sewer deficiencies modified to be applied to actual <br />bath facility count. <br /> <br />Sewer System Service Fund projections based on 12% <br />interest, 10% inflation and transfer of $184,708 for <br />FY 1978-79 to FY 1980-81 and $86,071 for FY 81-82 to <br />General Fund to reimburse for crew operation. <br /> <br />Each of these items were discussed in detail and staff will report <br />back on some of the concerns expressed by the City Council including <br />a breakdown of the separate permit fees for this year which go into <br />the Genera 1 Fund. ' <br /> <br />A meeting is to be scheduled with the race track official... date <br />of ~ugust 25 at 7 p.m. was indicated. This will be confirmed with <br />the track. ' <br /> <br />The legal ramifications of the request of the School Board for finan- <br />cial assistance will also be discussed at the meeting of August 25. <br /> <br />The question of retaining the H-over1ay for the ar~a from S~nta ~nita <br />to Second and Huntington to Duarte was explored brlefly.
