August 26, 1958. <br /> <br />PRESENT : <br />ABSENT : <br /> <br />Councilmen Jacobi, Reibold, Phillips <br />Councilmen Balser, Camphouse <br /> <br />The City Attorney presented, discussed and read in full Ordinance <br />No. 1026, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF ARCADIA, FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY <br />TAXATION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1958." <br /> <br />The City Attorney advised that the figure was taken from the <br />current fiscal budget and supplied by the City Controller. <br /> <br />Councilman Jacobi moved that Ordinance No. 1026 be adopted. <br />Said motion seeonded by Councilman Reibold and carried on roll <br />call vote as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Jacobi, Reibold, Phillips <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmen Balser, Camphouse <br /> <br />The City Attorney presented, discussed and read in full Ordinance <br />No. 1027, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES AND LEVYING TAXES <br />FOR THE FISCAL. YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1958." <br /> <br />The City Attorney commented that Council would be interested in one <br />figure in Lighting Maintenance District No.9; that there was an <br />error in computation last year, resulting in a deficit and under <br />the law same is picked up and added to the estimated cost for the <br />forthcoming year; that the error in computation amounted to almost <br />$2000.pO. The City Attorney explained that the rate assessed for <br />Lighting Maintenance District No. 9 was caused by an error in <br />computing the rate for the previous year and that the rate for the <br />ensuing year was that required for the estimated maintenance cost for <br />the ensuing year plus the deficit resulting from the previous year. <br /> <br />Councilman Reibold moved that Ordinance No. 1027 be adopted. Said <br />motion seconded by Councilman Jacobi and carried on roll call vote <br />as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Jacobi, Reibold, Phillips <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmen Balser, Camphouse <br /> <br />The City Attorney presented, discussed and read the title of <br />Resolution No. 3050, entitled: "RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING LIGHTING MAINTENANCE <br />DISTRICT NO. 4 TO BE INCLUDED IN LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT <br />NO. 11, AND REQUESTING THE ELIMINATION OF SEPARATE CODE AREAS <br />HERETOFORE ESTABLISHED BY REASON OF SAID LIGHTING MAINTENANCE <br />DISTRICT No.4." <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />8- 26- 58 <br />
