Flint, Pastor of the <br />First Baptist Church of Arcadia. <br /> <br />Mayor Reibold ~ed in the ,pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />PRESENT : <br />ABSENT : <br /> <br />councilmen Balser, Jacobi, Phillips, Reibold <br />councilman Camphouse <br /> <br />Motion by councilman Jacobi, seconded by Councilman Phillips 'and carried <br />unanimously that the minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 19, 1960 <br />and the minutes of the Adjourned Regular Meeting of January 26, 1960, as <br />submitted in writing, be approved. <br /> <br />Hearing closed and matter continued at Council meeting of February 2, 1960 <br />on Planning Commission Resolution No. 357 recommending adding new section <br />6.5 to Ordinance No. 760. <br /> <br />Councilman Balser explained that the resolution of the Planning Commission, <br />if adopted, will create a new zone classification for the encouragement and <br />establishment of areas for the construction of luxury multiple family <br />dwellings and group residences. He added that he was in favor of approv- <br />ing said Planning Commission Resolution No. 357, with the exception that <br />he personally desired that paragraph A-l of said resolution be modified to <br />the extent of adding to the specified average 1000 square foot floor area <br />a minimum floor area of 600 square feet for the possible use of a care- <br />taker or the like. The Council members concurred. <br /> <br />Councilman Balser then moved that, with the addition of the modification <br />of paragraph A-l, Council accept the recommendation of the Planning <br />Commission as contained in their Resolution No. 357, and instruct the <br />City Attorney to prepare an ordinance in accordance therewith. Councilman <br />Jacobi seconded the motion and it was carried on roll call vote as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Balser, Jacobi, Phillips, Reibold <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Camphouse <br /> <br />ORDINANCE The City Attorney presented for the second time, explained the, content and <br />No. 1074 read the title of Ordinance No. 1074, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY <br />(Adopted) COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING CERTAIN REAL <br />PROPERTY LOCATED NEAR THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF FOOTHILL BOULEVARD AND <br />J0'!/Y SECOND AVENUE IN SAID CITY IN ZONE C-2 AND ZONE D (ARCHITECTURAL OVERLAY)." <br /> <br />IN Motion by councilman Phillips, seconded by Councilman Balser and carried on <br />D~D roll call vote as follows that the reading of the full body of Ordinance <br />No. 1074 be waived: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />2-16- 60 <br /> <br />uiO <br />~ D <br />
