David Reed of the Arcadia Congregational Church <br /> <br />Mayor Elton D, Phillips <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Balser, Butterworth, Reibold, Turner, Phillips <br />None <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilman Turner, seconded by Councilman Butterworth and <br />carried unanimously that the Minutes of March 3, 1964 be APPROVED, <br /> <br />Planning Commission Resolution No. 504 recommending the amendment of <br />the Arcadia Municipal Code by amending and augmenting the regulations <br />controlling signs, billboards and advertising structures in Zone C-l, <br />amending off street parking requirements for Zone C-l and altering <br />the usee permitted in and the regulations applicable to Zone C-l, <br /> <br />The hearing had been continued to this date from March 3, 1964 at the <br />request of the Chamber of Commerce. The City Manager advised of the <br />receipt of another communication from the Chamber of Commerce and one <br />from th~ Board of Realtors requesting that the matter be referred back <br />to the Planning Commission for further study, The City Council con- <br />curred therein on MOTION by Councilman Reibold, seconded by <br />Councilman Butterworth, and referred the matter back to the Planning <br />Commission with the request that its recommendation be forwarded to <br />the City Council in time for its May 19, 1964 meeting, <br /> <br />Planning Commission Resolution No, 506 recommending that property at <br />604, 612 and 620 W. Duarte Road be reclassified from Zone R-l to Zone <br />C-O, D and H. <br /> <br />The Planning Director presented a comprehensive oral summary on the <br />plot plan, landscaping, floor usage, elevations and parking. Sign <br />control was also explored. Projecturals were displayed as was a <br />miniature model of the proposed structure. <br /> <br />Mayor Phillips then declared the hearing open and inquired if anyone <br />desired to speak in favor of the recommendation. <br /> <br />Mr, Henry Hege, Attorney, 651 W.
