Maurice Meredith, Pastor of the Arcadia Church of Christ. <br /> <br />Mayor Elton D. Phillips led in the pledge of allegiance. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Balser, Butterworth, Reibold, Turner, Phillips <br />None <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilman Butterworth, seconded by Councilman Balser and <br />unanimously carried that the minutes of the regular meeting of <br />January 2l, 1964 be APPROVED. <br /> <br />Mayor Phillips declared open the hearing and inquired if anyone <br />desired to address Council to the matter of the application which has <br />been filed by, Robert Cass for a business permit to allow him to <br />continue the business of a used car sales lot at 154 E. Huntington <br />Drive. <br /> <br />Mr. Roland Taylor, 50l W. Alta Vista, Monrovia, representing the <br />applicant, stated in part that Mr. Cass was desirous of operating the <br />business as the person to whom he had leased the business was unable <br />to continue. <br /> <br />No one else desiring to address Council, MOTION was made by Councilman <br />Butterworth, seconded by Councilman Reibold and carried unanimously <br />that the hearing be closed. <br /> <br />MOTION was then made by Councilman Butterworth, seconded by Councilman <br />Reibold and carried unanimously that the application be approved and <br />that a business permit be issued to Robert Casso <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilman Reibold, seconded by Councilman Turner and <br />carried unanimously that the final maps of Tract Nos. 27647 and 29221 <br />be APPROVED in accordance with the recommendation of the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Tract No. 27647 (East of El Monte Avenue between Palm Drive and <br />Woodruff Avenue) <br /> <br />Tract No. 29221 (2500 and 2508'El Monte Avenue) <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilman Balser, seconded by Councilman Butterworth and <br />carried unanimously that a public hearing be scheduled for FEBRUARY 18, <br />1964 at 8 P.M. on the recommendation of the Planning Commission con- <br />tained in its Resolution No. 504 pertaining to regulations controlling <br />signs, billboards, and advertising structures in Zone C-l, and off- <br />street parking requirements. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />2-4-64 <br />
