<br />I <br /> <br />INVOCAtION <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF <br />ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF <br />MINUTES <br />(12-18-62) <br /> <br />HEARING <br />(Annexation <br />No. 30 <br />Southeast <br />Arcadia <br />Uninhabited) <br /> <br />(F:920) <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 3547-A <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />ORDINANCE <br />NO. 1194 <br />(Introduced) <br /> <br />15:5861 <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA <br /> <br />JANUARY 2, 1963 <br /> <br />The City Counci~ of the City of Arcadia met in regular session in the <br />Council Chamber of the City Hall at 8:00 P.M., January 2, 1963. <br /> <br />The Invocation was offered by Councilman Bals~r. <br /> <br />Mayor Butterworth led in the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />PRESENT : <br />ABSENT : <br /> <br />Councilmen Balser, Phillips, Reibold, Turner, Butterworth <br />None <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilman Phillips, seconded by Councilman Turner and <br />carried unanimo~sly that the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of December <br />18, 1962 be approved as submitted in writing. <br /> <br />Mayor Butterworth declared the hearing open on the proposed annexation <br />to the City of Arcadia of certain territory adjacent and contiguous to <br />the present City limits, said territory being situated near the <br />southeasterly portion of the City, more 'particularly described in <br />Resolution No. 3531, and designated as Annexation No. 30; Southeast <br />Arcadia (Uninhabited), adding that this is th~ time and place fixed by <br />the Council to consider any protests in writing. <br /> <br />The City Clerk advised that no written protests were received from any <br />person owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed <br />and that she had on file Affidavits of Publication of Resolution No. <br />3531 and of Mailing of Notice of Public Hearing. <br /> <br />Mayor Butterworth then inquired if anyone in the audience wished to be <br />heard regarding the proposed annexation. No one desiring to be heard <br />Mayor Butterwo~tr declared the hearing close~. <br /> <br />The City Attorney thereupon presented, explained the content and read <br />the title of Resolution No. 3547-A, entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, FINDING AND DECLARING THAT <br />A MAJORITY PROTEST HAS NOT BEEN MADE WITH RESPECT TO ANNEXATION NO. 30 <br />SOUTHEAST ARCADIA (UNINHABITED)." <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilman Phillips, seconded by Councilman Reibold and carried <br />on roll call vote as follows that the reading of the full body of <br />Resolution No. 3547-A be waived: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Balser, Phillips, Reibold, Turner, Butterworth <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Councilman Phillips further MOVED that Resolution No. 3547-A be adopted. <br />Motion seconded by Councilman Balser and carried on roll call vote as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Balser, Phillips, Reibold, Turner, Butterworth <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />The City Attorney then presented for the first time, explained the <br />content and read the title of Ordinance No. 1194, entitled: "AN <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />1-2-63 <br />
