Reibold <br /> <br />PRESENT : <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Balser, Considine, Forman, Turner, Reibold <br />None <br /> <br />On MOTION by Councilman Turner, seconded by Councilman Forman and <br />carried on roll call vote as follows the Minutes of the regular <br />meeting of October 5, 1965 were APPROVED. <br /> <br />The Hearing rema~n~ng open on Planning Commission Resolution No. 555 <br />recommending DENIAL of a requested zone change of property located at <br />the northwest corner of Santa Anita Avenue and Las Tunas Drive from <br />Zone R-l, R-2 and R-3 to C-3, the Planning Director explained that <br />the Republic Capital Corporation had made application for the zone <br />change which was considered by the Commission in public hearings. <br />The property consists of 9~ acres of vacant land with approximately <br />950' frontage on Santa Anita Avenue; that based on a study made by <br />the Planning Department and approved by the Commission it was the <br />recommendation to the City Council that the property not be placed in <br />a zone which would permit retail businesses. It was the recommen- <br />dation that the westerly half of the subject property be placed in <br />Zone R-l and the easterly half in Zone C-l. He further stated in <br />part that no facts were developed in the hearings that were not fully <br />considered in previous proceedings in determining the proper zoning <br />for the subject area. <br /> <br />No one desiring to be heard on the matter it was MOVED by Councilman <br />Forman seconded ,by Councilman Balser" and car,ried unanimously that <br />the hearing be CLOSED. <br /> <br />MOTION was made by Councilman Balser, seconded by Councilman Forman <br />and carried on the following roll call vote that the City Council <br />sustain the,recommendation of the Planning Commission (Res.
