Turner <br /> <br />PRESENT : <br />ABSENT : <br /> <br />Councilmen Balser, Considine, Forman, Reibold, Turner <br />None <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilman Balser, seconded by Councilman Reibold and <br />carried unanimously that the Minutes of the ~egular Meeting of <br />March 16, 1965 be approved as submitted in writing. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Resolution No. 541 recommending the amendment of <br />the regulations applicable to certain real property abutting Live Oak <br />Avenue and Lynrose Street between Tyler and'Lenore Avenues under its <br />classification in Zone 'D' (architectural overlay). <br /> <br />The Planning Commission, at the request of the City Council, had made <br />a study and reviewed the zoning regulations applicable to the subject <br />property wherein it was concluded that existing manufacturing <br />businesses were creating traffic, parking and appearance problems in <br />the area. Regulations to improve the situat~on are embodied in saiq <br />resolution. <br /> <br />Mayor Turner then declared the hearing open to those who desired to <br />speak to the matter. <br /> <br />Robert Lucas, ,5639 Farna Avenue in County territory, spoke in favor <br />of the contents of the resolution and stated that he has not been <br />able to contact the County Supervisor and therefore was asking the <br />City Council to see what could be done about the situation, referring <br />to the traffic generated by the employees of the industrial <br />businesses and the parking on adjacent residential streets. <br /> <br />Max Cregor, 5633 Farna Avenue in County territory, referred to the <br />noise factor con~ected with children playing on the parking lot on <br />Lynrose Avenue. <br /> <br />The City Clerk read two communications, 1) from R. G. Harris, owner <br />of the subject industrial property, in which he asked for an oppor- <br />tunity to meet with the staff on the matter and 2) from Mr. & Mrs. <br />Joseph W. Suchora, 5619 Cochin Avenue (County territory) opposing the <br />proposed zone change as it would obliterate the view of the mountains. <br /> <br />Mr. Harris addressed the City Council stating in part that he would <br />like to meet with the staff as he felt certain that any problems <br />could be resolved. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />4-6-65 <br />
