W.,Stanley Courtney, Assistant Pastor <br />Arcadia Presbyterian Church <br /> <br />Mayor Dale E. Turner <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Balser, Considine, Forman, Reibold, Turner <br />None <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 1, 1964 were APPROVED <br />on MOTION by Councilman Reibold, seconded by Councilman Considine and <br />carried unanimously, <br /> <br />Councilman Balser congratulated the City Manager, Harold K. Schone, <br />on the outstanding accomplishments he has achieved during the five <br />years he has been with the City, this being the anniversary of such <br />affiliation. The members of the City Council concurred and extended <br />'congratulations also. <br /> <br />Mayor Turner declared the hearing open on the application of <br />Frank E. Green for a business permit to conduct the business of a <br />private patrol and guard system, No one desired to address the City <br />Council and the hearing was CLOSED on MOTION by Councilman Reibold, <br />seconded by Councilman Considine and carried unanimously, Whereupon <br />Councilman Considine MOVED that the application be APPROVED and that <br />a business permit be issued to Mr, Green, Motion seconded by <br />Councilman Balser and carried unanimously, <br /> <br />Mayor Turner declared the hearing open on the proposed vacation and <br />abandonment of a,portion of Fourth Avenue and of the first ailey <br />south of Huntington Drive. The City Clerk advised that she had on <br />file the affidavit of posting and the affidavit of publication as <br />required by law. No one desiring to be heard on the matter <br />Councilman Forman MOVED that the hearing be closed. Councilman <br />Balser seconded the motion which was carried unanimously, <br /> <br />The City Manager then presented for the first 'time, explained the <br />content and read: the title of Ordinance No, 1276 entitled: "AN <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, <br />VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF FOURTH AVENUE AND OF THE FIRST <br />ALLEY SOUTH OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE IN SAID CITY." <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilman Forman, seconded by Councilman Reibold and <br />carried on roll call vote as follows that the reading of the full <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />12-15-64 <br />
