Turner <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Balser, Considine, Reibold, Turner <br />Councilman Forman <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Adjourned Regular Me~ting of July 27, 1964 and <br />the Regular Meeting of August 4, 1964 were APPROVED as submitted in <br />writing on MOTION of Councilman Reibold, seconded by Councilman <br />Considine and carried unanimously, <br /> <br />Planning Commission Res.. No. 522 recommending the denial of a zone <br />variance for parking on R-l prop~rty located at 9977 Woodruff Avenu~ <br />and 2580 S. Baldwin Avenue. The City Council was advised that an <br />appeal had not been filed. 'Brief discussion held on the safety of <br />pedestrian and vehicular traffic, the subject properties being <br />across the street from the Churc~. MOTION was then made by Council- <br />man Balser, seconded by Councilman Reibold and carried unanimously <br />that the recommendation of the Planning Commission be sustained and <br />the zone variance application be DENIED. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Resolution Res. No. 523 recoliunen'ding 'the denial of <br />a zone variance to permit the use for Red Cdr,ss Chapter offices of an <br />existing one story single family dwelling in Zone R-3 at 166 Bonita <br />Street. The resolution set forth twelve conditions on which approval <br />was recommended, one of which limited the variance to five years from <br />and after the date of adoption of a resolution granting the request. <br />The City Council being in accord with said recommendation, the City <br />Attorney presented, explained the content and read th~ title of <br />Resolution No. 3702 entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE ClTY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING A REQUESTED VARIANCE TO <br />PERMIT THE USE FOR RED CROSS CHAPTER OFFICES OF AN EXISTING ONE-STORY <br />SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING IN ZONE R-3 AT 166 BONITA STREET IN SAID CITY." <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilman Reibold, seconded by Councilman Balser and <br />carried on roll caLl vote as folLows that the reading of the fuLL <br />body of Resolution No. 3702 be waived: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Balser, Considine, Reibold, Turner <br />None <br />Councilman Forman <br /> <br />Councilman ReiboLd further MOVED that Resolution No. 3702 be ADOPTED. <br />Motion seconded by Councilman Balser and carried on roll call vote as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Balser, Considine, Reibold, Turner <br />None <br />Councilman yorman <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />8-18-64 <br />
