J. Staley, Assistant Pastor, Holy Angel's Church <br /> <br />Mayor Dale E' Turner <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Balser, Considine, Forrnap, Reibold, Turner <br />None <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilman Balser, seconded by Councilman Reibold and <br />carried unanimously that the Minutes of July ~1, 1964 as submitted <br />in writing be APPROVED. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Res. No. 518 recommending the reclassification <br />of specified property into C-C & D (Community Commercial and <br />architectural overlay) and recommending the reg~lations to be <br />imposed thereon under Zone 'D'. <br /> <br />This hearing was continued from July 21, 1964 for the sole purpose <br />of receiving documentary evidence. Councilman Balser MOVED that the <br />record be augmented by the inclusion of the verbatim transcript of <br />the statements and testimony of Messrs. Nicklin, Goebel, Gutoff and <br />Phelps. Motion seconded by Councilman Forman and carried unanimously. <br />Councilman Forman then MOVED that the record also be augmented by <br />, ' I <br />the inclusion of the excerpts from a letter receiv~d by Mr. Goebel <br />from the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Comp'any which had <br />been submitted by Mr. Goebel. Motion seconded by Councilman Reibold <br />and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Brief discussion he~d with Richard English, Chairman of the Chamber <br />of Commerce Industrial Committee, regarding the limitation of building <br />area and the measurement of vibration. <br /> <br />Councilman Forman MOVED that inasmuch as deliberations on this matter <br />will be postponed the hearing be CLOSED. Motion seconded by Council- <br />man Reibold and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Res. No. 519 recommending that properties at <br />1225 and 1229 Lovell Avenue be placed in Zone P(automobile parking). <br />The Planning Director explained plans for the proposed development <br />at said address and projecturals were displayed. He explained that <br />the additional parking was to be used to provide additional parking <br />facilities for the height-limit building to'be constructed on the <br />adjoining property (604 to 620 W. Duarte Road) which has been re- <br />classified into Zones C-O, H & D; that the or'iginal plan had called <br />for all surface parking but the Pl~nning Commission had encouraged <br />the applicant to include about 33 underground parking spaces and <br />167 surface parking spaces. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />8-4-64 <br />
