Turner <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Considine, Forman, Reibold, Turner <br />Councilman Balser <br /> <br />The Minutes as submitted in writing of the regular meeting of <br />June 3, 1964 were APPROVED on MOTION by Councilman Considine, <br />seconded by Councilman Reibold and carried unanimously with Mayor <br />Turner abstaining from voting due to his absence from said meeting. <br />The Minutes as submitted in writing of the adjourned regular <br />meeting of June 8, 1964 were APPROVED on MOTION by Councilman <br />Forman, seconded by Councilman Reibo1d and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Resolution No. 504 recommending changes in C-1 <br />regulations of the Zoning Ordinance concerning signs, billboards, <br />off street parking, etc. On the suggestion of the Planning Director <br />who stated in part that such changes could be placed in D Overlay <br />Zoning which would allow restrictions to be applied to specific <br />areas as needed was on motion duly made and adopted, continued to <br />JULY 7, 1964. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Resolution No. 513 recommending the creation of <br />a new zoning district and changes in the text of C-O, C-1 and M-l <br />was explained at length by the Planning Director. (SEE COMPLETE <br />REPORT ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK). <br /> <br />In part, the proposed new district would be titled "Community <br />Commercial District", and its purpose would be to stabilize, improve <br />and protect the business districts. It is designed to cover specific <br />needs for the Towne Center and establishes permissive uses. It is <br />stated in part that no ocher area is being considered for inclusion <br />unless it might be the West Arcadia 'Hub' Shopping District. <br />Projecturals were reviewed and discussed. <br /> <br />Mayor Turner then declared the hearing open on the recommendation. <br />No one responded to his inquiry as to whether or not anyone in the <br />audience desired to speak to the matter, either for or against. <br /> <br />The Planning Director read the proposed changes; that it would add <br />to the list of permitted C-O uses - Banks and Savings & Loan <br />Associations.
