<br />I <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />WATER <br />RATE <br /> <br />/'. <br /> <br />/;0\ ,,= <br />,I'/' < c) <br />, , <br /> <br />ORDINANCE <br />NO. 1333 <br /> <br />Reintroduced <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />LITIGATION <br /> <br />I~( '1'-1 <br />r- J$ r- <br /> <br />17:6932 <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA <br /> <br />ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />DE9EMBER 22, 1966 <br /> <br />Pursuant to the order of adjournment of t~e regular meeting of the <br />City Council of December 20, 1966, the City Council of the City of <br />Arcadia met in adjourned regular session on December 22, 1966 at <br />7 P.M., in the Conference Room of the City Hall. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Arth, Butterworth, Considine, Hage, Forman <br />None <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />Discussion .was he~d at length on the nUmerous modifications of the <br />various formulae considered prior to the introductio~ of Ordinance <br />No. 1333 (on December 20, 1966). Discussion included the merit of a <br />bond issue for capital improvements in the water department; whether <br />or not it would be possible at this time to place at least a portion <br />of the costs on the ad valorem tax and the possibility of an excise <br />tax similar to that imposed by the City of Glendale on water users <br />not served by the City Water Department which was explained by the <br />City Attorney. Each Councilman expressed his individual views <br />thereon. <br /> <br />Following full discussion it was MOVED by Councilman Considine, <br />seconded by Councilman Butterworth and carried unanimously that <br />Ordinance No. 1333 as introduced be amended by providing 300 cubic <br />feet of water per month with the minimum monthly charge and by <br />increasing the fire service standard charges to coincide with the <br />monthly minimum service charges. <br /> <br />Whereupon the City Attorney again presented, explained the content <br />and read the title of 'Ordinance No. 1333 as thus amended, entitled: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, <br />AMENDING SECTIONS 7531.1, 7531.1.1, 7531.1.2 AND 753l.2 OF THE <br />ARCADIA MUNICIPAL CODE WITH RESPECT TO WATER RATES." <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilman Considine, seconded by Councilman Butterworth <br />and carried on roll call vote as follows that the reading of the full <br />body of Ordinance No. 1333 be waived: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Arth, Butterworth, Considine, Hage, Forman <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Councilman Considine further MOVED that Ordinance No. l333 be <br />reintroduced.
