K. Coyle Company, had requested <br />withdrawal of his bid before it was opened and read and recommended <br />that the award be made to LEONARD FULLMER, whereupon it was MOVED by <br />Councilman Balser, seconded by Councilman Turner and carried on rot! <br />call vote as follows that O. K. Coyle Company be permitted to with- <br />draw its bid due to circumstances as set forth in its communication <br />dated January 25, 1966; that the contract be awarded to said <br />Leonard Fullmer in the amount of $368,000; that all other bids be <br />rejected; that any irregularities or informalities in the bids or <br />bidding process be waived and that the Mayor and City Clerk be <br />authorized to execute the contract in form approved by the City <br />Attorney; that the sum of $136,500 be transferred from Water Fund <br />Surplus Account No. 290 in the General Fund to Capital Projects <br />Account No. 309 - Corporation Yard Construction. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Balser, Considine, Turner, Reibold <br />None <br />Councilman Forman <br /> <br />The recommendation of the City Manager concerning the adoption by <br />reference of the 1965 Fire Prevention Code as recommended by the <br />American Insurance Association was APPROVED on MOTION by Councilman <br />Turner, seconded by Councilman Considine and carried unanimously, <br />and that the City Attorney prepare the necessary ordinance for <br />Council consideration. <br /> <br />On MOTION by Councilman Considine, seconded by Councilman Balser and <br />carried on roll call vote as follows the work as performed by <br />Eric L. Peterson in the construction of the first phase of the <br />sidewalk program be ACCEPTED and FINAL payment authorized in <br />accordance with the terms of the contract: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Balser, Considine, Turner, Reibold <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Forman <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />It was MOVED by Councilman Turner, seconded by Councilman Considine <br />and carried unanimously that the streets in Tract No, 22377 (Estrella <br />Avenue west of Baldwin Avenue) be accepted for maintenance by the" <br />City as all improvements have been completed in accordance with <br />requirements and conditions imposed by the City Council. <br /> <br />It was MOVED by Councilman Balser, seconded by Councilman Considine <br />and carried unanimously that the work as peformed by Pipe Linings, Inc., <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />2-1-66 <br />
