Reibold <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Balser, Considine, Turner, Reibold <br />Councilman Forman <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 18, 1966 were APPROVED <br />on MOTION by Councilman Turner, seconded by Councilman Considine and <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Resolution No. 577 recommending the reclassifi- <br />cation of all properties presently zoned C-3 into Zone C-2. The <br />Planning Director explained the contents of said resolution and <br />projecturals were reviewed depicting the areas where properties were <br />so zoned. <br /> <br />Mayor Reibold declared the hearing open. No one desiring to be <br />heard, it was MOVED by Councilman Turner, seconded by Councilman <br />Balser and carried unanimously that the hearing be CLOSED. <br /> <br />It was then MOVED by Councilman Turner, seconded by Councilman <br />Considine and carried unanimously that the City Council APPROVE the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission as contained in its <br />Resolution No. 577; that all properties presently zoned C-3'be <br />rezoned to C-2 and that the City Attorney prepare an ordinance <br />amending the Arcadia Municipal Code in accordance therewith. <br /> <br />It was MOVED by Councilman Balser, seconded by Councilman Considine <br />and carried unanimously that February 15, 1966 be set as the date of <br />a public hearing on Planning Commission Resolution No. 579 recom- <br />mending reclassifying property at 12, 14, 16 and 18 Campus Drive <br />from Zone R-3 to Zone C-2. <br /> <br />Discussion held on the possibility of two-story construction within <br />Tract No. 24105 (1234 - 1308 S. Second Avenue) and it was the <br />consensus of the City Council that only one-story homes should be <br />permitted in order to provide privacy for the surrounding residences <br />and the subdivider having submitted a house location plan indicating <br />only one-story homes, it was MOVED by Councilman Balser, seconded by <br />Councilman Turner and carried unanimously that the final map of <br />Tract No. 24105 be APPROVED subject to continued compliance with the <br />conditions of approval of the tentative map and with a further <br />provision that the developer execute a covenant that the lots in the <br />tract be restricted to only one-story homes. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />2-1- 66 <br />
