I <br /> <br />18:7586 <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />MARCH 3, 1970 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Arcadia, California, met in regular <br />session in the Council Chamber of the Arcadia City Hall on March 3, <br />1970, at 8:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Rev. J. Wm, Daum, Episcopal Church of Transfiguration <br /> <br />Mayor C. Robert Arth <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Butterworth, Considine, Rage, Helms, Arth <br />None <br /> <br />The Minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of February 11, 1970, <br />were APPROVED on MOTION by Councilman Butterworth, seconded by <br />Councilman Rage and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Commendation to the Exchange Club for its many c~v~c activities was <br />made in the form of Resolution No. 5020 which was presented and read <br />in its entirety by Mayor Arth, MOTION by Councilman Helms, seconded <br />by Councilman Considine and carried on roll call vote as follows: that <br />Resolution No. 5020 entitled "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF ARCADIA COMMENDING THE ARCADIA EXCHANGE CLUB FOR ITS CIVIC <br />ACTIVITIES" be and the same is hereby adopted. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Butterworth, Considine, Ha~e, Helms, Arth <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />The document was then presented to Charles Greenstreet on behalf of the <br />Club. Mr. Greenstreet expressed appreciation and will submit it to the <br />Club membership. <br /> <br />Time and place scheduled for hearing and rece~v~ng objections to the <br />proposed abatement of weeds, rubbish and refuse upon certain private <br />property as set forth in Resolution No, 5012, Notices were mailed on <br />February 16, 1970, as required by the Government Code. Correspondence <br />received by the City Clerk is hereby made part of the record. Mayor <br />Arth declared the hearing open and Mrs. Virgie Kipp, 819 S. Roosevelt <br />Avenue, Fullerton, owner of property in the C~icago Park Tract, Lots <br />1424, 1425, 1426, 1427, and 1428, asked about the approximate time the <br />discing would take place and the cost; that she is thinking about doing <br />the work herself or having it done prior to the time the city contractor <br />does the work, The City Manager stated in part that the city would very <br />much like the owners to do their own work; that the work will probably <br />get started around March 23 with the inspection of the properties to be <br />cleared to take place around March 20. <br /> <br />No one else desiring to be heard, the hearing was CLOSED on MOTION by <br />Councilman Butterworth, seconded by Councilman Considine and carried <br />unanimously. Whereupon it was MOVED by Councilman Butterworth, seconded <br />by Councilman Considine and carried unanimously that the work proceed <br />under the agreement with the County of Los Angeles, <br /> <br />3-3-70 <br /> <br />- 1 - <br />
