Laurence Coen, Assistant Pastor of the Holy Angels Church <br /> <br />Mayor C. Robert Arth <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Butterworth, Considine, Hage, Helms, Arth <br />None <br /> <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of October 21, 1969, were APPROVED <br />on MOTION by Councilman Considine, seconded by Councilman Helms and <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Arth presented plaques of appreciation for efforts and accomplish- <br />ments during the tenures of 1) Carl E. Johnson, member of the Technical <br />Study Committee and 2) Sherrell Watson, Manager of the local Chamber of <br />Commerce. Mr. Johnson is resigning from the committee and Mr. Watson <br />has accepted a position in northern California. Mr. Watson expressed <br />regret at leaving the City and thanked the city officials and staff for <br />cooperation during his stay in the city. Mr. Johnson was unable to <br />attend the meeting. <br /> <br />The City Manager then presented John A. Grivich, Water Manager, with an <br />award from the American Water Works Association honoring management and <br />employees of the City Water Department for a superior safety record <br />during 1968. <br /> <br />The Planning Director advised that the Planning Commission reviewed <br />the Department's recommendation and the data prepared by the City <br />Attorney concerning amendments to the concurrent improvement ordinance <br />as outlined in Resolution No. 687 and in a report dated October 28, 1969, <br />and has endorsed such changes. ' <br /> <br />Council concurred in the recommendations wit~ two exceptions as set forth <br />in the motion made by Councilman Helms, seconded by Councilman Butterworth <br />and carried on roll call vote as follows, to instruct the City Attorney to <br />draft an ordinance incorporating said amendments with the following changes: <br />Section pertaining to improvements in Zones R-2, R-3- Rand R-3 be in- <br />creased from $1200 to $1500, and in Zones CoO, C-l, C-2, C-3,C-M, M-l and M. <br />be increased from $1500 to $2000. (Be it noted that the amount of con- <br />current improvements in the R-O and R-l zones will be increased from $700 <br />to $7000 as recommended in the report). Proposed ordinance to be presented <br />to Council at a later date.
