UP <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />M I NUT E S <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />SEPTEMBER 2, 1969 <br /> <br />The City Coqncil of the City of Arcadia, California, met in regular <br />session in the Council Chamber of the Arcadia City Hall on September <br />2, 1969, at 8:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Rev. Robert Arth <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Council~en Butterworth, Considine, Hage, Helms, Arth <br />None <br /> <br />Councilman Considine MOVED to APPROVE the Minutes of the Regular <br />Meeting of August 19, 1969. Motion seconded by Councilman Butterworth <br />and carried unani~pusly, <br /> <br />On August 19th tqe City Council continued to this date the appeal filed <br />by the Shopping ~~& Food Stores, Inc., from t~e decision of the Planning <br />Commission in its qenial, without prejudice, of the request for a <br />division of property at the southwest corner qf Naomi and Baldwin Avenues. <br />In the presentation at said meeting a revised plan was submitted and it <br />was the consensus of Council that the Commissipn should consider same ~nd <br />make recommendation, therefore, the matter was referred back to the <br />Commission. . <br /> <br />The Planning Director advised that the Commission had reviewed the new <br />parcel map and determined that the applicant h~d overcome most of the <br />major objections aqd recommended approval subje~t to specified conditions. <br /> <br />The Hearing remaining open, Bill Hughes, representing the applicant, <br />circulated a rendering of the proposed development. He noted the <br />location of storage and loading areas, screening and other pertinent <br />factors pursuant to Council's questions. All conditions imposed by <br />the Commission were explored. No one else desiring to be heard, the <br />Hearing was CLOSED on MOTION by Councilman Butterworth, seconded by <br />Councilman Hage and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />It was then MOVED by Councilman Considine, seconded by Councilman Butter- <br />worth and carried unanimously that the revised parcel map be APPROVED <br />subject to the fotlowing conditions as stipulated by the Commission with <br />an addition to No: 3. <br /> <br />1. All conditions of the Department of Public Works as outlined <br />in the original written report shall be complied with to the <br />satisfaction of the Director of Public Works. <br /> <br />2. All water service shall be in compliance with the Uniform <br />Plumbing Code and approval shall include the conditions of <br />the Water Manager as outlined in his original written report. <br /> <br />3. Any outdoor loading areas, trash areas or storage areas shall <br />be adequately screened from nearby residentially used properties <br />by permanent structures to the satisfaction of the Planning <br />Department and the Department of Public'Works. <br /> <br />4. Lot lines between Parcels 1, 2 and 3 must be redrawn to be <br />parallel to the center line of Naomi, <br /> <br />5. Recorded easements for access to the land locked parcel shall <br />be reviewed by the Department of Public Works and shall meet <br />with ics approval to insure access to said parcel. <br /> <br />- 1 - <br /> <br />9 - 2 - 69 <br />
