Robert Arth <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmen Butterworth, Considine, Hage, Helms, Arth <br />None <br /> <br />The Minutes of the regular meeting of May 6, 1969, were APPROVED <br />on MOTION by Councilman Butterworth, seconded by Councilman Hage <br />and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Time scheduled for hearing protests to the proposed removal of <br />weeds, rubbish, refuse and dirt as set forth in Resolution No. ./', <br />4066. Mayor Arth declared the hearing open. Edward R. Johnson, <br />414 S. Second Avenue, advised that he will abate any such nuisance <br />on his property. He was informed that the contractor will start <br />work almost immediately. The City Manager will check the correct <br />date and so advise Mr. Johnson. It was determined that the property <br />in question is in the Chicago Park area. No one else desiring to <br />be heard the hearing was CLOSED on MOTION by Councilman Butterworth, <br />seconded by Councilman Hage and carried unanimously. Whereupon it <br />was MOVED by Councilman Hage, seconded by Councilman Butterworth and <br />carried unanimously that the Superintendent of Weed Abatement be and <br />he is hereby authorized to proceed with the work. <br /> <br />CONTINUED from the regular meeting of May 6, to permit an opportunity <br />to resolve problems encountered in the development of ~his subdivision. <br />A question had arisen that it might be appropriate to institute pro- <br />ceedings under the street opening act in order to acquire the needed <br />right-of-way and installation of the improvements. However, the <br />owner of the one lot which is not now part of the tract was present, <br />(Mrs. William E. Paulfrey, 354 W. Lemon Avenue) and indicated a <br />willingness to meet with the subdividers to discuss the matter. <br />Whereupon it was MOVED by Councilman Considine, seconded by Councilman <br />Helms and carried unanimously that the results of such a meeting be <br />conveyed to the Council at its next regular meeting (June 3, 1969). <br /> <br />Planning Commission Resolution No. 676 granting a conditional use <br />permit to Atlantic Richfield Company for the construction of a <br />service station at 54 W. Las Tunas Drive, was RATIFIED on MOTION <br />by Councilman Helms, seconded by Councilman Considine and carried <br />unanimously. Said ratification was made contingent upon no appeal <br />being filed by May 23, 1969. Mayor Arth abstained from voting. <br /> <br />On MOTION by Councilman Hage, seconded by Councilman Considine and <br />carried unanimously the final map of Tract No. 30713 (1312-1328 S. <br />Eighth Avenue) was APPROVED subject to full compliance with the <br />conditions stipulated in the approval of the tentative'~~p. <br /> <br />5-20-69 <br /> <br />- 1 - <br />
