A. Karl Myers, Village Presbyterian Church <br /> <br />Mayor Robert J. Considine <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Arth, Butterworth, Forman, Rage, Considine <br />None <br /> <br />The Minutes of the regular meeting of April 2, 1968, were APPROVED <br />on MOTION by Councilman Forman, seconded by Councilman Rage and <br />carried unanimously. Councilman Butterworth abstained from voting <br />as he was absent from said meeting. The Minutes of the adjourned <br />regular meetings of April 8 and 15, 1968, were APPROVED on MOTION <br />by Councilman Butterworth, seconded by Councilman Arth and carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Considine stated for the record that he appreciated the <br />excellent cooperation he had received during his tenure as Mayor; <br />that in his opinion all of the city employees had put forth <br />tremendous effort during the year to improve the city and the <br />general climate of dealings with its citizens. Re complimented <br />retiring Councilman Forman for his contributions and efforts on <br />behalf of the city during the four years Mr. Forman has served <br />on the Council, and presented a plaque to him indicating the <br />years of service as Councilman and as Mayor during 1966-67. <br /> <br />Councilman Forman accepted with expressed appreciation to all <br />city staff members and employees and stated in part that he <br />leaves with some reluctance and observed that if he were 25 years <br />younger and had an opportunity to plan a course. of action for <br />his life he would have chosen a career of public service. <br /> <br />The City Clerk, having tabulated the semi-official returns of the <br />April 9, 1968 Municipal Election at which two Councilmen and a <br />City Clerk were elected, in accordance with Section 22932 of the <br />California Elections Code appointed the following as an Elections <br />Board to conduct the official canvass: <br /> <br />Inspector <br />Clerks <br />Judges <br /> <br />Councilman Butterworth <br />Councilmen Arth and Forman <br />Mayor Considine and Councilman <br /> <br />Rage <br /> <br />Following is a tabulation of the votes received by each <br />candidate by precinct: <br /> <br />4-16-68 <br /> <br />- 1 - <br />
