<br />ORDINANCE NO. 25. <br />AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE TIME FOR THE SALE OF LIQUORS. <br />THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO ORDAIN AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. It shall be unlawful to sell or give away any <br />spiritous, malt or vinous liquors in any saloon, tipling house, sample <br />lroom, grocery bar-room, drugstore or in any drinking place or place <br />where such articles are sold either at wholesale or retail, between the <br />hours of 1 o'clock A. M. Sunday to 5 o'olook ~. M. the following Monday, <br />and between the hours of 1 o'clock A. M. and 5 o'clook A. M. of eaoh and <br />every day of the week other than Sunday. <br />Seotion 2. The owner proprietor, manager, or other person having <br /> <br />oharge or control of any saloon, tipling house, sample room, bar room, or <br /> <br />other place where spiritous, malt, vinous or mixed intoxicating liquors <br />are sold or given away, either at wholesale or retail, shall securely <br />close and lock all entrances and exits from any such place, or cause the <br /> <br />same to be closed and locked and to keep the same in such condition, <br /> <br />against the entry or exit of all persons other than the owner, proprietor <br /> <br />or manager thereof, or the servants regularly employed in and about the <br /> <br />same between the hours of one o'clock A. M. Sunday and five o'clock A. M. <br />of the Monday next succeeding and between the hours of one olclock A. M. <br />and five o'clock of said and every day of the week other than Sunday. <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for the owner, proprietor, manager or other <br />person having charge or control of any saloon, tipling house, sample room, <br />bar-room, or other place where spiritous, malt, vinous or mixed intoxica- <br />ting liquors are sold or given away at wholesale or retail, to permit any <br />person other than the servant regularly employed in and about the same, to <br />enter, remain or be therein between the hours and during the time herein- <br />before mentioned. <br /> <br />Section i. Any violation of this ordinance or any provisions <br />thereof shall constitute a misdemeanor, and any person guilty of a viola- <br />tion of same or any provision thereof shall, upon conviction, be punishable <br />in a fine not to exceed 100 dollars, or by imprisonment in the city jail <br />of the city for a period not to exceed 30 days, or both such fine and <br /> <br />- 1 - <br /> <br />/ -~ <br />UAO.(.{/vlOvn,ce.. /{-<J, ~.6 <br />
