ARCADIA CITY COUNCIL <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY, APRIL 16, 2019 <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER — Mayor Tay called the regular meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. <br /> 2. INVOCATION — Rabbi Sholom Stiefel, Chabad of Arcadia <br /> 3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE — Gene Glasco, Elected City Clerk <br /> 4. ROLL CALL OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> PRESENT: Amundson, Beck, Chandler, Verlato, and Tay <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> 5. REPORT FROM CITY ATTORNEY REGARDING CLOSED/STUDY SESSION ITEMS <br /> Mayor Tay announced there were no Closed or Study Session items on the agenda. <br /> 6. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM CITY MANAGER REGARDING AGENDA <br /> ITEMS <br /> City Manager Lazzaretto announced that the representative from Senator Dianne Feinstein's <br /> office was unable to attend, and that David Vannasdall will be presenting on behalf of the Arcadia <br /> Unified School District; and on behalf of the City staff, he thanked and congratulated Mayor Tay <br /> for a successful year as Mayor. <br /> 7. MOTION TO READ ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BY TITLE ONLY AND <br /> WAIVE THE READING IN FULL <br /> A motion was made by Council Member Chandler, seconded by Council Member Amundson, to <br /> read all ordinances and resolutions by title only and waive the reading in full. <br /> 8. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> Annie Park, representing Public Relations Director of International Youth Fellowship and <br /> Gracias Music Foundation, appeared and invited the City Council to attend the <br /> International Youth Fellowship World Leadership Meeting and the Gracias Easter Cantata <br /> Concert; and provided information regarding the foundations. <br /> John Paterson, an Arcadia resident, appeared and expressed his concerns regarding the <br /> bus stop located at the Gold Line parking structure on Santa Clara Street; he encouraged <br /> the City Council to consider moving the Arcadia shuttle stop, and asked that the City work <br /> with Metro to have the bus stop moved in order to increase the visibility of drivers exiting <br /> the structure on Santa Clara Street. <br /> Liangui Gu, an Arcadia resident, appeared and read a letter on behalf of Jack Fung, <br /> thanking Mayor Tay for his service; she commented on economic growth in the City, <br /> community involvement with the fight against the cannabis facility in the neighboring City, <br /> parents uniting against AB 329, and keeping the City safe and students properly educated. <br /> Edmund Liu, an Arcadia resident, appeared and thanked Mayor Tay for his service. <br /> 1 04-16-2019 <br />
