ARCADIA CITY COUNCIL <br /> SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY, JULY 17, 2018 <br /> CALL TO ORDER — Mayor Tay called the Special Meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council <br /> Conference Room, 240 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia, California. <br /> ROLL CALL OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> PRESENT: Amundson, Beck, Chandler, Verlato, and Tay <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> George Fasching, an Arcadia resident and business owner, appeared and commented on the future <br /> of the existing stables currently on the Santa Anita Park property. <br /> STUDY SESSION (OPEN TO THE PUBLIC) <br /> a. Report, discussion, and direction related to Development of New Stables in the North <br /> Parking Lot of Santa Anita Park (285 W. Huntington Drive). <br /> Assistant City Manager/Development Services Director Kruckeberg provided a presentation of the <br /> proposed North Barn Project at Santa Anita Park. <br /> Pete Siberell, Director of Special Projects at Santa Anita Park, Nicola Boon, NBIC Project Manager <br /> Consultant, and Tim Ritvo, Chief Operating Officer of the Stronach Group, appeared and provided a <br /> project overview of the proposed new stables in the North Parking Lot of Santa Anita Park; and <br /> answered questions raised by the City Council. <br /> No action was requested of or taken by the City Council. <br /> CLOSED SESSION <br /> a. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(1) to confer with legal counsel <br /> regarding the matter of Ya-May Christle, an individual v. Police Officer R. Bartley, <br /> individually and in his Official Capacity, Police Officer Scott Elenberger, individually <br /> and in his Official Capacity, Police Officer Jason Davis, individually and in his Official <br /> Capacity, and Does 3 through 10, inclusive (Federal Court Case No. 2:16-CV- <br /> 08569-JFW-E). <br /> b. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(1) to confer with legal counsel <br /> regarding the matter of Susan Joy Pink v. City of Arcadia, and Does 1 through 25 <br /> (Stanley Mosk Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. BC608696). <br /> No reportable action was taken on the Closed Session items. <br />
