ARCADIA CITY COUNCIL <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY, MAY 15, 2018 <br /> CALL TO ORDER — Mayor Amundson called the meeting to order at 4:04 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> PRESENT: Beck, Chandler, Tay, and Amundson <br /> ABSENT: Verlato <br /> A motion was made Council Member Chandler, seconded by Mayor Pro Tern Tay, to excuse <br /> Council Member Verlato. <br /> Council Member Verlato arrived at 4:14 p.m. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS — No one appeared. <br /> STUDY SESSION <br /> a. Report, discussion and direction regarding the proposed Operating Budget for <br /> Fiscal Years 2018-20, and Proposed Capital Improvement and Equipment Plan <br /> for Fiscal Years 2018-23. <br /> City Manager Lazzaretto presented an overview of the proposed Operating Budget for Fiscal <br /> Years 2018-20, and Proposed Capital Improvement and Equipment Plan for Fiscal Years 2018- <br /> 23. <br /> The City Council, by consensus, directed staff to bring back for City Council consideration at the <br /> June 19 meeting resolutions relating to the adoption of the Operating Budget for Fiscal Years <br /> 2018-20, and Proposed Capital Improvement and Equipment Plan for Fiscal Years 2018-23, <br /> including a full transfer of funds into the Capital and Equipment budgets, which would result in a <br /> $3.1 million deficit for FY 2018-19. <br /> The City Council adjourned to Closed Session at 6:34 p.m. <br /> CLOSED SESSION <br /> a. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(1) to confer with legal counsel <br /> regarding the matter of Los Angeles SMSA Limited Partnership, a California <br /> limited partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless v. City of Arcadia; (United States <br /> District Court, Central District, Case No.: 2:17-cv-03778 DSF JEMx). <br /> b. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(1) to confer with legal counsel <br /> regarding the matter of Torn Crosby, an individual; Ellen Fu Crosby, an individual <br /> v. City of Arcadia, a California municipality; Santa Anita Oaks Homeowners <br /> Association, Inc., a California non-profit corporation; and Vincent I.
