ARCADIA CITY COUNCIL <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2018 <br /> CALL TO ORDER — Mayor Amundson called the regular meeting to order at 7:07 p.m. <br /> INVOCATION — Pastor George Hooper, Church of the Good Shephard <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE — Sergeant Jennifer Robinson, United States Marine Corps <br /> ROLL CALL OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> PRESENT: Beck, Chandler, Verlato, Tay, and Amundson <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> REPORT FROM CITY ATTORNEY REGARDING CLOSED/STUDY SESSION ITEMS <br /> City Attorney Deitsch reported that the City Council met prior to the regular meeting in a special <br /> meeting in order to conduct a study session to receive reports from staff and discuss the two <br /> items listed on the posted agenda regarding: (1) the possible provision of out-of-town medical <br /> trips by Arcadia Transit and, after some discussion, the City Council determined to table the <br /> matter for additional discussion within the next few weeks; and (2) presentation regarding a <br /> potential mixed-use development proposal at 121 E. Foothill Boulevard (Highlander Center), the <br /> City Council received a report from the proposed developer and their representatives, and have <br /> determined that after tonight's open session, the City Council will resume the discussion. <br /> City Attorney Deitsch further reported that the City Council met in a closed session to consider <br /> Items (a) and (c) listed on the posted agenda, no reportable action was taken; and that Item (b) <br /> has not yet been discussed, and recommended the City Council recess the regular meeting to a <br /> closed session to discuss Item (b), including the study session previously mentioned, and <br /> reported that it is anticipated that no reportable action will be taken regarding closed session <br /> Item (b). <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM CITY MANAGER REGARDING AGENDA ITEMS <br /> City Manager Lazzaretto announced that there was no supplemental information <br /> MOTION TO READ ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BY TITLE ONLY AND WAIVE <br /> THE READING IN FULL <br /> A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tern Tay and seconded by Council Member Chandler to read <br /> all ordinances and resolutions by title only and waive the reading in full. <br /> PRESENTATIONS <br /> a. Arcadia Chinese Association presentation of Mimi's Cafe gift cards to Arcadia City <br /> staff in appreciation of providing excellent customer service to the City. <br /> 1 02-20-2018 <br />
