ARCADIA CITY COUNCIL <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY, AUGUST 21, 2018 <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER — Mayor Tay called the regular meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. <br /> 2. INVOCATION — Reverend Jolene Cadenbach, Arcadia Congregational Church <br /> 3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE — Gene Glasco, Elected City Clerk <br /> 4. ROLL CALL OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> PRESENT: Amundson, Beck, Chandler, Verlato, and Tay <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> 5. REPORT FROM CITY ATTORNEY REGARDING CLOSED/STUDY SESSION ITEMS <br /> City Attorney Deitsch reported that prior to regular meeting, the City Council met in a Study <br /> Session to hear a report from staff and discuss the design of the Citywide Bicycle Facility <br /> Improvements; he noted that it was reported to the City Council that the City has received bike <br /> funds in the amount of $950,000 with a match of $450,000 and will go out to bid. The City <br /> Council gave general authority and direction to City staff to go out to bid and pursue the project. <br /> City Attorney Deitsch also reported that the City Council met in a Closed Session to discuss the <br /> two potential litigation matters listed on the posted agenda; the items related to a shooting of a <br /> dog claim and an accessory dwelling unit claim, no reportable action was taken. <br /> 6. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM CITY MANAGER REGARDING AGENDA <br /> ITEMS <br /> City Manager Lazzaretto stated that there was no supplemental information. <br /> 7. MOTION TO READ ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BY TITLE ONLY AND <br /> WAIVE THE READING IN FULL <br /> A motion was made by Council Member Chandler, seconded by Council Member Amundson, to <br /> read all ordinances and resolutions by title only and waive the reading in full. <br /> 8. PRESENTATIONS <br /> a. Waste Management ("WM") Recycling Update: Battle against contamination <br /> 9. PUBLIC COMMENTS — No one appeared. <br /> 10. REPORTS FROM MAYOR, CITY COUNCIL AND CITY CLERK (including reports <br /> from the City Council related to meetings attended at City expense[AB 12341). <br /> Council Member Beck noted that yesterday morning he was in Switzerland and shared some of <br /> his experiences while on vacation. <br /> 1 08-21-2018 <br />
