ARCADIA CITY COUNCIL <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY, JUNE 6, 2017 <br /> CALL TO ORDER — Mayor Amundson called the regular meeting to order at 7:08 p.m. <br /> INVOCATION — Reverend Julie Bryant, Church of the Transfiguration <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE — Dr. Jack McEwan, WWII B17 Bomber Pilot <br /> ROLL CALL OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> PRESENT: Beck, Chandler, Verlato, Tay, and Amundson <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> REPORT FROM CITY ATTORNEY REGARDING CLOSED/STUDY SESSION ITEMS <br /> City Attorney Deitsch announced that prior to the regular meeting, the City Council convened at <br /> a Special Meeting to conduct a Study Session to receive a report from staff regarding the 2017 <br /> Recreation and Parks Master Plan; he reported that the Plan received a recommendation on <br /> May 10, from City's Recreation and Parks Commission, and a finding by the Planning <br /> Commission on May 23, that the proposed Plan is in conformity with the City's General Plan; he <br /> stated that the Recreation and Parks Master Plan will be brought back before the City Council in <br /> a Study Session on July 18, and will be presented to the City Council for consideration at their <br /> August 1, City Council meeting. <br /> City Attorney Deitsch further announced that the City Council met in a Closed Session to <br /> consider the one item listed on the posted agenda under Closed Session; he indicated that the <br /> matter was not concluded, and recommended that at the conclusion of the regular meeting, the <br /> City Council recess to a continued Closed Session to complete discussion of the one item; and <br /> stated that it is anticipated there will not be any action taken which is required to be reported <br /> under the Brown Act. <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM CITY MANAGER REGARDING AGENDA ITEMS <br /> City Manager Lazzaretto stated that there was no supplemental agenda information, but <br /> requested the City Council move the Public Comment period before the Public Hearing because <br /> some speakers in attendance traveled by Arcadia Transit and need to be out of the meeting <br /> before the buses stop running. The City Council agreed. <br /> MOTION TO READ ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BY TITLE ONLY AND WAIVE <br /> THE READING IN FULL <br /> A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Tay and seconded by Council Member Chandler to read <br /> all ordinances and resolutions by title only and waive the reading in full. <br /> PRESENTATIONS <br /> a. Presentation of the Spring Home Awards by the Arcadia Beautiful Commission. <br /> The Arcadia Beautiful Commission presented Spring Home Awards to the following properties: <br /> 1 06-06-2017 <br />
