ARCADIA CITY COUNCIL <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2017 <br /> CALL TO ORDER — Mayor Amundson called the regular meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> INVOCATION — Reverend Thomas Shriver, Police Department Chaplain <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE — Air Force Airman 1st Classman Juliana Kosharek <br /> ROLL CALL OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> PRESENT: Beck, Chandler, Verlato, Tay, and Amundson <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> REPORT FROM CITY ATTORNEY REGARDING CLOSED/STUDY SESSION ITEMS <br /> City Attorney Deitsch announced that the City Council met earlier in a Study Session to <br /> interview four potential Planning Commission candidates to fill one unexpired term ending June <br /> 30, 2018; and noted that after deliberations, the City Council unanimously appointed Donald <br /> Fandry to fill the unexpired term ending June 18, 2018. <br /> City Attorney Deitsch further announced that the City Council met in a Closed Session to <br /> consider the one item listed on the posted agenda under Closed Session regarding litigation; no <br /> reportable action was taken. <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM CITY MANAGER REGARDING AGENDA ITEMS <br /> City Manager Lazzaretto stated there was no supplemental agenda information. <br /> MOTION TO READ ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BY TITLE ONLY AND WAIVE <br /> THE READING IN FULL <br /> A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Tay and seconded by Council Member Chandler <br /> to read all ordinances and resolutions by title only and waive the reading in full. <br /> PRESENTATIONS <br /> a. Proclaiming October 8, 2017, to October 14, 2017, as "Fire Prevention Week". <br /> Mayor Amundson announced that City Manager Item 3.a regarding the conceptual design of the <br /> Veterans Memorial Monument at the Arcadia Community Center will be discussed at this time. <br /> 3. CITY MANAGER <br /> a. Approve the conceptual design of the Veterans Memorial at the Arcadia <br /> Community Center. <br /> Recommended Action: Approve <br /> Assistant to the City Manager Bruckner provided the staff report. <br /> 1 10-03-2017 <br />
